Thua Thien-Hue (Province) Hotels and Accommodation

The province of Thua Thien-Hue is in the center of Vietnam on the north central coast. Hue is the capital city of the province, and was once the royal capital of Vietnam. This history has left an interesting inheritance of imperial tombs and temples. Thua Thien-Hue covers an area of 5,045 km2 with a population of 1,119,800 residents according to 2004 statistics. The area has mountains, hills, plains and lagoons with 126km of beaches. The climate is a tropical monsoon climate with an average high of up to 41C and a cooler 12C in the winter. It has high rainfall of up to 4500mm each year in the mountains.
