Victoria Falls is located on Zambia’s border with Zimbabwe and it is two times as tall as Niagara Falls. Visitors can white water raft under the Victoria Falls Bridge or go on a canoe safari along the bottom of the falls. The gateway to Victoria Falls is Maramba or Livingstone. At one time this city was the capital and now offers tourist activities such as bungee jumping near the falls.
At the top of Victoria Falls is the popular Livingstone Island. Livingstone Island is a must see for all visitors to Zambia. It lays in two inches of water and allows you to gaze over the falls, see the permanent rainbow, and take a dip in the Devil’s Pool. South Luangwa National Park is a great reason to book cheap hotels in Zambia. A family destination, the park is a wildlife habitat and sanctuary. Night safaris are allowed. Some of the more social inhabitants of the park include hippos, leopards, zebras, and giraffes.
