"A very nice small hotel rather close to the historic center"
This is one of the better hotels in the "no frills" cathegory that we've ever tried. The rooms are functional, if a little boring, and our bathroom was just perfect. The staff speaks english and is very helpful in a friendly, unobtrusive way, and the breakfast buffet contains everything one might reasonably wish for (except fresh orange juice). Neither coffee nor tee is really as strong enough for our taste, but this is a minor complaint compared to the overall excellence of the accomodation - taking the price into account.
The Baltic Hotel is a good value for money hotel in Lübeck, right at the edge of the ancient and historical centre of Lübeck (listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site). The Baltic Hotel enjoys a convenient location in Lübeck, just 12 km/7.45 miles from Hamburg-Lubeck Airport LBC (also known as Lübeck Blankensee Airport), which is directly connected to the hotel by bus line 6. All main sightseeing attractions of Lübeck, including the Holstenturm Tower, the Ancient Market, the Theatre, the Congress Hall, the Buddenbrook House, the Niederegger Marzipan Industry, lots of Museums and the Holy-Spirit Hosptital, are all reachable within 15 minutes on foot. Whether you are travelling to Lübeck for business, you are a tourist who wants to visit the cultural heritage of Lübeck, you are here with friends or with your family: The Baltic Hotel is the right choice for you.
