Barcelona Suites  

Pros: The apartments are brand new, very clean and with a lovely staff. we've had a great time there and we will come back next summer.

Pros: Outstanding for the price. we enjoyed our stay due to the excellent location, beautifully clean apartment in a nice area which made our stay safe as well as pleasant.

Pros: The staff are very pleasant and helpful. the apartment was very spacious.

Pros: Barcelona suites has a number of locations around barcelona. we stayed at the 163 villarroel location. the building appeared to be recently remodeled with all of the floors and fixtures appearing to be new. the apartment was spacious, clean and simple with all of the basic ammenities, including pots & pans, towels, and dishes.
we really enjoyed the location. the mercat de ininot, a local fresh food market, is just a block or so away. there were also many neighborhood shops everywhere you looked. we really enjoyed being part of the local scene. and just a block away, at the hospital clinic, was the metro. from there we explored many other parts of the city.
Cons: All of the floors are laminate and the walls are sparsely decorated. this gave the apartment a bit of an echo. if the neighbors are loud you will notice. although everyone seemed to adhere to the 22:00 quiet hour rule. wi-fi was available but it was difficult to get a good signal in our apartment. but if you check different locations within the apartment you would get something. we were also supposed to have a balcony apartment. there are front and rear apartments on each floor. we got a rear apartment that did not have a balcony.

Pros: I booked the suite for my daughter and friends to have a few days in barcelona the said the suite was gorgeous.
Cons: The only problem they said was going to the hotel to pic up the keys for the suite. their taxi driver did not know the hotel and they struggled a bit with their luggage.

Pros: The hotel was neatly laid out. it was also in a safe neighborhood.
Cons: The beds were very uncomfortable. one of the showers was completely unusable. the coffee pot was corroded. the look of the place was great, but the things that really mattered in a comfortable stay were unacceptable.

Pros: Apartments were both together, nice and clean and spacious. good location. lift provided.
Cons: No iron/iron board was provided for our stay, we had to ask hotel to provide us with one for both apartments, in the end one iron was provided. this was requested. could of done with more towels and one long mirror in sitting one of the bedrooms.

Pros: My family and i truly had a lasting impression of barcelona. the apartment was very clean and modern. there was an elevator. we were close to the metro and market. also, lots of little shops and restaurants around the apartment area to explore. the customer service representative was very friendly.
Cons: Parking was overpriced. the apartment representative really could not inform us of near by parking. it would be helpful to share possible parking garages on the website or how the meter parking works(i.e. where to buy the tickets if you park on street, what times you are able to park for free, if any). a larger trash receptacle would be ideal in the kitchen area. it would be better to have trash cans in the bathrooms too. large towels were provided but if a smaller hand towel and/or washcloth were offer would be nice. providing a clean sponge and towel for dishes would be more sanitary.

Pros: The apartment was nice.
Cons: I stayed with 11 friends and we had 2 rooms. both rooms were broken into and robbed. there was no sign of break in so whoever got in had a key for both rooms. they stole in all 3 digital slr cameras 3 phones 2 mp3 players and a psp worth in all over 3000 euro. they also stole over 1500 euro in cash leaving us with nothing. the two things they did not steal both times were a 26" hd tv & and dvd player that were in both rooms why didn't they take these!? these could easily be worth over 3000 euro!? the reception told us they could do nothing even after we asked to change the locks on the rooms. they didn't even over us our deposit back when we had no money left for the last 2 days. they told us to contact the police who only gave us a statement! i really think it would be a better idea to find a better hotel/apartment that has a reception and also key cards which are much harder to copy. just stay away from this place. has got suspicion written all over it.
