Pros: A very good basic hotel. we did not expect much as it was cheap, but it very suitable for our needs. our room was clean and tidy, the bedding was change even though we were only there two nights. the beds were comfortable. the hotel staff were very pleasant and helpful. anyone wanting a basic place to stay especially if you are out sight seeing all day this is perfect, also only 5 mins from the tube or two main line stations.

Pros: The location is very close to the train station. therefore, if you take eurostar to arrive, you can directly walk to the hotel. it's also close to the metro stations.
Cons: Wi-fi only works at the lobby, not in the rooms. also, the tv in the room is really small and hard to watch. i had this type of tv in late 70's and early 80's. also, the back building where we stayed has no elevators. it's difficult to carry heavy luggages to 3rd floor by using stairs.

Pros: Close to gare du nord, comfortable bed, room, warm, handy to restaurants, metro.
Cons: Wired internet was very very expensive at 5 euro for 30mins and 7 euros for 60 mins, i do not have my own computer, in which case it would have been free. no safe in rooms. open courtyard to cross to room and it was raining.

Pros: Friendly staff, clean rooms.excellent train and bus connections.
Cons: I had booked the room for two persons but i came alone.i wanted a single room which was not available.the receptionist told me that both the single and the double rooms are of same size but it can not be changed later on as i had already booked a double room.i have experienced elsewhere in the world that room charges depend on number of occupancy and not on the size of the room. anyway she was quite friendly and was just doing her job.

Pros: Nice, clean room. staff on reception very friendly and helpful and spoke good english. good value for money. 5 mins walk to metro. nice restaurants in the area, much cheaper than in touristy areas. streets outside were quiet at night
Cons: Cleaning staff made a lot of noise using vacuum cleaners etc. from 8.30 in the morning

Pros: Location and surrounding is good and close to market and main train station.
Cons: The bed is not comfortable and noisy (unstable). the internet service is a bit expensive and no wi-fi facilities. internet facility and breakfast should be included under the room charges. the room light need to be improved.
