Hotel Taylor París    

Pros: Buen trato en recepción

We very much enjoyed our stay at Hotel Taylor would definitely use the hotel again. It was very close to a tube station which was two stops from the main train station making it handy for travelling to the airport. There was a very nice bakery and small supermarket nearby which was useful. The hotel staff were welcoming and friendly and spoke good english. The breakfast was nice but we felt it was quite expensive for what it was. The room was very nice and we loved the shabby chic decor..especially the marilyn monroe picture on the wall. The room was clean, the bed was comfy and the hotel was quiet so we always had a good night's sleep.There was always staff members at reception so there was no overnight curfew. Check out time is reasonable (11am) and we were able to leave our luggage in a secure area in the hotel until our flight home which was not until 7pm which prevented a lot of stress!The hotel was very lovely and would be perfect for any couple for a romantic weekend and we would happily recommend Hotel Taylor to friends and family.

This was a value for money hotel bordering the 10th and 2nd not far from Republique metro making it easy to get around Paris and far enough away from main tourist spots to make eating out affordable. The room was small but clean and comfortable for two people with a serviceable bathroom so in that respect I would recommend it to the budget traveler.A technical issue upon check-out is what soured the whole experience of our stay when my travelling companion was charged three times for her share of the hotel bill due to a malfunction of their eftpos facility. The hotel refuses to accept any responsibility for this so she has been left with a E900 bill and has to chase getting her money back with her Australian bank.

The hotel mentions that Repulique is the nearest stop from the hotel - however if you have never been to this area before the hotel can be tricky to find and I recommend getting off at Chateau D'eau. The street coming out of the hotel isn't that nice during the day and there are a lot of people that hassle you as you are walking down the street trying to give you leaflets and such. However the hotel was really nice and the staff where helpful and friendly - there is a luggage room where you can leave your suitcases before check in and after you check out which is useful. The metro stop Chateau D'eau is on a good line for all the good main attractions and goes straight from Gare Du Nord. All main attractions are a couple of metro stops away. Room was smaller then expected but good value and nicely decorated.

Nice hotel, easy metro acces ur very quickly towards the main center for sight seeing. The interior of the hotel is cute. Price quaility is in excellent balance. Staff is helpfull with giving directions and fluent in english.

Cons: Taxi driver didn't know where it was so we went around a couple of times which cost more in taxie fee's

Pros: The staff was great, more pleasant and helpful than in many more expensive hotels where we have stayed over the years. the room was very comfortable and the staff made a real effort to check us in early after a long overnight flight. they continued to be most helpful throughout our stay.
Cons: The lobby/exterior appear a little on the small side at first, but you soon get over it, the room was good.

Pros: The staff were very helpfull and professional. a+++ service
Cons: Breakfast is to expensive

Pros: Very clean and room was quite comfortable. i could never have asked for nicer people.
Cons: The neighborhood was not good and there were homless poeple sleeping 15 feet from the enterance. too far from most things of interest.

Pros: Hotel taylor is a well presented, clean and quite "french" hotel located in one of the most central areas of paris. the highlights were the location and the wonderful female receptionist, who was always so welcoming and friendly. the room was small but perfect for 2 people, with lovely furnishings and a comfy bed. great value for money!
Cons: The breakfast was expensive and not great (no hot breakfast, just a standard continental buffet of cereal, meats and baked goods). it desn't detract from how good hotel taylor is though, as it's positioned in an area with an abundance of great cafes and boulangeries!

Pros: Very friendly staff, hotel room was ok size for paris. bathroom was of a good size. comfortable bed. 15 minutes walk from gare du nord.
Cons: Not much light in the hotel. pricy for a 2 star, but the location was great so i got over that pretty quickly ;-)

Pros: The hotel was in a good location and the staff were freindly. the rooms were cleaned daily so that was great.
Cons: The hotel was warm and friendly however we did felt that it was over priced. the rooms were clean but could do with some deep cleaning and painting were paint is chipped off the walls and doors - also the area around the bath to put the plug in was rusty - this did not look good at all. also the breakfast at either 10 euros or 15 euros we felt was expensive and due to the value of the rooms think that this should be included. also more tea / coffee to be left in the rooms would be nice and maybe a small fruit basket, but overall the location was good.
