Hotel Pace Elvezia Roma    

Contras: El baño tenia mucha humedad y por lo tanto el olor no era muy agradable, hubiera sido sencillo dejar la puerta del baño abierta y la ventana para poder secarse y que ese olor saliera del baño

Pros: I have stayed at the pace helvezia 8 times now. i love it for the central location and the fantastic rooftop views over the city. a good continental buffet breakfast provided (including chocolate cake!!)
Cons: The hotel is in a very old building which is great but it is in dire need of redecorating. the wallpaper is hanging off and it could just do with a bit of tlc. the electric socket was hanging out of the wall, the shower plug was bunged up with hair/soap and needed a good clean out. i dealt with this at reception but it was not rectified before i left. however, i will return to the pace helvezia again - the points i have raised are not major and did not detract from yet another fantastic trip to rome

Cons: We could not stay at the hotel because they had problems with warm water,3 floors were closed !! but they gave us another hotel, hotel sistina which was very good.

Pros: The front desk staff were very helpful as our italian was limited. they were able to confirm transfers etc. for us.

Pros: This is a very pleasant hotel in an excellent location.
Cons: We had to be moved to another hotel after only one of the four nights we had booked 6 months earlier as they had a large party arriving that they could not split and they said they had insufficient rooms with air con and hot water. as i have some difficulty with walking it made the rest of our stay difficult as we were further away from the sites that we wanted to explore. we felt that moving us was unreasonable as we had booked in plenty of time. we particularly booked this hotel because of its location and feel rather cheated.

Pros: The hotel was very central. the staff were very helpful. the breakfast was good. the hotel was reasonable.
Cons: The carpet under the bed wasnt clean. the bathroom clothes werent always changed.

Pros: I selected this hotel based on location and the rooftop garden that was a big plus for us on our stay with my daughter and her husband. staff told my daughter that the roof garden was going to be closed. i think that would be a mistake as it is the reason many people book that hotel. i thought the breakfast was wonderful with great selections. that was a pleasant surprise as many people on trip advisor etc. complained of that. overall stay very satisfactory

Cons: Just a little old styled but sure isnt every hotel in rome.

Cons: No hot water,stayed only one night and then they moved us at hotel genio of the same company much better in total

Cons: Toilets in hotel for general use,very dirty and no hand towels or toilet paper. this seems to be an issuse throughout rome in general dirty toilets

Pros: The front desk staff were very polite and accomodating; specifically eduardo. the hotel is centrally located to everything you want to see and do in rome. by european standards, the hotel room we received was very nice.

Pros: The room was comfortable and the staff were very charming and helpful
Cons: We did not have any hot water to shower in for the 3 days of our stay - it was, at best, tepid. no reduction was offered to our bill.
our room was next to a main road which was noisy if you opened the windows. however, you could turn on the aircon & close the windows which cut out most of the noise.
breakfast was a little dull and "processed". only continental breakfast was on offer, the fruit juice was out of a machine which obviously used a powdered mix and the fruit on offer was tinned fruit cocktail.

Pros: - helpful staff who spoke english
- great rooftop deck with views over city
Cons: - air conditioning did not cool; only circulated air

Pros: Roof terrace is the best part of this hotel, staff are very helpful and rooms are cleaned to a high standard.

Pros: Great location and staff.
Cons: Hotel room very small; air con was non existent. would class hotel as a three star at best!
