Pros: Hotel is beautiful with old european elegance. the lobby and parlor looks out onto lake geneva and has a lovely feel. for the most part the staff is helpful and considerate. most staff is multi lingual and speak english.
Cons: The hotel was the most expensive hotel we stayed in in switzerland and we were expecting it to be well above most of the hotels we stayed in. turned out to be a very disappointing experience. the first night we were in a dark, noisy room overlooking the train tracks ( for 310.00sf p/ night). had to keep the windows closed because of the noise and there was no air conditioning. very unpleasant. asked to be moved, but they said they were full that night. moved us the next night to a lovely room with a balcony overlooking the lake for the same price. like night and day! staff at the front desk was pleasant and tried to be accommodating. but it was unbelievable how expensive the first room was and it was very unpleasant.

El Golf-Hôtel René Capt es un hotel de 4 estrellas en Montreux cerca del famoso Castillo de Chillon con una vista fantástica a los Alpes franceses y el lago de Ginebra. Se construyó en 1882 y por eso ofrece a sus huéspedes un moderno confort dentro de una antigua construcción. El hotel ha preservado su estilo elegante, el cual se evidencia por ejemplo en su excelente restaurante de fines de siglo. Además, el hotel tiene un gran jardín privado sobre la orilla del lago, un bar muy particular tallado en una piedra blanca, así como también una gran variedad de salones y salas de conferencias. Las 62 habitaciones están amuebladas garantizando confort, y los grandes ventanales permiten tener una vista impresionante del jardín y el lago.
