Best Western Hawthorne Terrace Chicago  

I have stayed at this hotel twice before in the annex. This time in the old part on first floor. It was very noisy, below ground level,and not all that clean it is a great location and I was very disappointed this trip. I will onlystay there again if it is in the annex.

Pros: Great staff, great location

Pros: The room at the hawthorne was outstanding. it was spotless and the bed was huge!

Cons: Parking was adjacent to hotel, underground, no elevator, no security cameras and a requirement to leave car keys! we made other reasevations at another best western with better security and peace of mind.

Pros: Great service, great staff, & lots of extras like keurig coffee machine, microwave & fridge in the room(grocery store 2 buildings down - put the fridge to good use)

Pros: Great location close to shops, wrigley field, lots of great restaurants. staff was very attentive without being overbearing.
Cons: A weird bug was in our tub when we woke up in the morning. a belt was left in the closet from a previous guest.

Pros: Allowed us to check-in early even though check-in was not until 2:00pm. we arrived around noon and were able to check-in right away! they also provided a slightly discounted parking rate if staying at the hotel and parking the car.

Pros: We really enjoyed our stay at this charming hotel. the front reception staff were very helful and knowledgeable, the facilities were generally very good for a small hotel and the breakfast choices were excellent. it is only a short distance from the bus stop or the subway that takes you directly into the center of the city. i would definitely recommend this hotel
Cons: The only major fault i could find with this hotel was the lack of space available in the breakfast area to eat ones breakfast.

Pros: This hotel was conveniently located to wrigley field and other wrigleyville attractions. the parking garage is located directly adjacent to the hotel and is affiliated with the hotel. you are charged both the hotel and parking on one bill. this is one of the few parking garages that large pickups will easily fit. this area seems to be very safe,even at night after a cubs game.the rooms were better than i expected after reading several reviews.our room was very clean and included a safe,fridge and microwave. the bed was very nice and comfortable.
