 "mediocre trianon hotel"
If not used to staying in budget accommodation don't book here, it is very basic but perfect for those on a budget to get away for a few days.+free wifi+great location - tram stop, supermarket, rijksmuseum etc.+Free luggage storage+lift+helpful staff-very thin walls-breakfast was poor - didn't bother after 1st day-daily cleaning of rooms only consisted of a clean towel being put on your unmade bed-very basic facilities - remote control is free from reception for the tv

 "Bad hotel."
I wouldn't go back to this hotel if someone paid me for it. The rooms are very small and the breakfast was poor. The staff were not very helpful. You can smell the chinese restaurant from the room and a lot of noise from the kitchen. There was nowhere to store your suitcase in the room. I would not recommend this hotel. It was more like a hostel.

 "Functional but small rooms"
Functional hotel very clean but the room was incredibly small and the breakfast was poor. But each night I got in my head hit the pillow and I slept until morning. But for a short trip it provided a clean quite place to sleep

 "Not as good as it used to be"
Disappointing to find that single rooms have all been supplied with bunk beds. The one I was shown into had no light underneath the top bunk, the very flimsy cupboard was completely broken, and there was no bath towel. I asked for another room, and was promised one the next day - they were full that night. The next day I had another room - bunk beds again, but this time there was a light, the cupboard worked, and there were plenty towels. The bed-sheet had been put through the laundry with a paper tissue, so there were bits all over the place - but they were clean bits! The staff were fine as long as I spoke to them directly, but there was no sense of welcome on entering at reception. Breakfast very basic but adequate if you like instant coffee - I don't!

Don't be amazed if you come to sleep at night and find someone at your bed already . Receptionist don't know which bed is booked already and which isn't. Although you get fast wifi.

The room is quiet small for 5 of us. This location is quiet far from the city. However, you can walk through some nice attraction when you walking to the city.

 "Good location but small bedroom"
The service in the hotel was right. The size of the room was pretty small, but beds were comfortable. The most remarkable thing is the location, very close to Leidsplein. Tram station is next to the hotel, just few meters walking.

 "Okay for what you pay"
Room was ok, we did have bed bugs in one bed but they changed the matresses and all the bedding in the room as soon as we reported it, it was really a problem. Good value for money and location is excellant!

The reception area was grubby, tired looking and smelt of smoke despite it being a smoke free environment. The receptionist had a passing interest in us as we checked in. The lift was tiny and temperamental but a viable option compared with the trip hazard rich stair cases. Our room was very basic and small. The shower head had experienced its last death throws but it did produce a decent pressure of hot water. A loose tile was the least of our problems and we should have knicked the radio and tv to put on eBay as historic relics but decency prevailed. The saving grace was our room was secure, clean and the beds were comfortable with super fresh linen. The inclusive breakfast was not great but we were too busy laughing by this point to care. In summary, you undoubtably could do better but if you have to stay here, there's no need to boil your head in oil!!!

 "No title"
For the price, this hotel is good enough. Don't expect to much when you pay this price. The beds are okay and especially the location is really good. Only the bathroom was a little bit dirty, the shower was not really nice. Took some time before it was warm.

 "payed too much for what we got"
The location is perfect. But the rooms were terrible, holes in the ceiling,shower wasnt working properly and the floor was dusty. I did tell the receptionist that the shower wasnt working but no one repaired it. Overal i had a lovely time in amsterdam but couldve been better if we stayed in a better hotel.

 "Staff were helpful, location was good, not too far away from everything..."
Pros: Staff were helpful, location was good, not too far away from everything rooms were not as bad as previous reviews may suggest, must have cleaned up their act!
Cons: Room was a bomb, when this was reported to staff they had it fully cleaned and it was fine - assumingly as they were understaffed. the condition of the rooms were a bit tatty but you cant go wrong with the price thats paid!

Pros: The hotel was as described on the website a budget hotel with bunk beds and private bathroom. no sign of the dormitory style rooms as mentioned in a couple of reviews.
Cons: It was a bit hot in the room but this was soon rectified by a trip to reception for the key to the window. there was also no toast at breakfast just plenty of brown and white bread.
