Belnord Hotel New York  

The room is like a grave. If is so small that the bad takes 99% of the room. You can only come in withyourself without your begs because there is no roon for it. The floor and the bad shake when the air condition is on. There is no reply when you try to reach room service. Vary bad experience. Would not come again. Would rather sleep in the streets.

The stay in the belnord hotel was very good an comfortable.The hotel is very central, two station from the times square. The rooms are little but very clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Any times again!

The reason we picked this hotel was the location. Nice to get to a not so stressful area after experiencing Manhattan every day. Very close to Central Park. Our room was very close to the elevator and we experienced quite a lot of noise in the early mornings - 4.30-6. Also from the cleaning staff and once from the police. We were told we were lucky to get a room for physically handicapped because of the size of it, we saw an "ordinary" room - wonder where the guests in that room should leave their clothes and trunks. No room at all! The internetconnection isnt very great, not always working, and even though its free, you need a new password every day, very annoying to lose connection, when you are in the middle of a very long email! We had to ask for toiletpaper almost every day, things I,d take for obvious. But the staff is friendly and nice and want to help when you ask them.

It was the 2th time I stayed in this hotel and I've found the people there friendly. The service was really excellent. Although the rooms are small, they are nice & clean! The location is very good, close to the metro, close to C.park, many restaurants in the neighbourhood...and beautiful streets with many trees!The only problem was the noice this time, not from the people, but from the ventilation, but we got another room and there we didn't have the problem anymore!I really hope to come back a 3th time!

My stay at this hotel was horrible. The hotel staff provides poor customer service, pretends to speak little english and very unfriendly. The rooms are extremely small with very little space to move around. The management cares solely about the business than the needs of the guests.

Hotels in New York are expensive, so do not take European hotel price standards to measure against! And do remember that fees and taxes come extra!Belnord Hotel is perfectly situated in Upper West side, very convenient to the subway (several lines), to the Central park and to lots of food in Broadway and Amsterdam avenues. The rooms are VEEERRRY small, but scrupulously clean (change of towels every day). It is also fairly quiet. The reception people will address you issues (I had something broken in the bathroom and that was immediately attended to), but do not expect more than that (they do not know much). They have free WLAN, which I cid not use, but still find convenient.

We chose, and paid for, one of the larger rooms. Good location; and good accommodation by New York standards.

Everything was ok! Clean room and cleam bathroom.No bad things to say about the hotel and the staff !!

Pros: Really clean room, great location. the rooms are small as others have said but i think we had a slightly bigger room because we were staying 5 nights. would definitely stay again

Pros: For those expecting to find their own living room in an inexpensive new york hotel the rooms may be a bit small, but beyond that, they are neat, clean and functional. the soft brown-and-tan colour scheme reminded us of the crowne plaza in hamburg and the freys hotel in stockholm. but my wife and i felt very comfortable there. read on.
the bed was very comfortable, the fresh towels came every day (and were soft) and there were no insects (that’s right: no bedbugs to complain about here). the cleaning staff and desk personnel spoke english and other languages, were polite, helpful and wore neat uniforms. as world travellers (my wife and i have visited 66 countries and have stayed in over 300 hotels worldwide), this hotel was unexpectedly comfortable and quiet. it’s on manhattan’s upper west side, off broadway, near the no.1 subway line, two blocks from central park, and is surrounded by some of new york’s best restaurants and dinners. neighbourhood breakfasts range between $4.50 and, for the novelty of being a big spender, $24.00 for a meal of juice, coffee/tea, pancakes, eggs, bacon or sausage. same meal, different places and prices, but you chose when you want to be the “big spender”. and yes, the best point of all is the price -- excellent for what you get. we plan to go back and stay there again.

Cons: Yes we were told when booking at tax fee of $3 would have to e paid for each day per person! we stayed for 4 nights and had to py nearly o er $100 in taxes when i asked why the staff member replyed with because you have to.
