Las Ramblas Apartments I Barcelona  

Las Ramblas Apartments was not a dissapointment. No. The place was good but it had some pros and cons. The fact that there is no AC is terrible during the nights and the WIFI just worked the last two days of our 7 days stay. It wasn't that hard to find and very close to everything - Las Ramblas, the beach, the shops and so on. Not expensive and you get what you pay for, but be careful not to drop food or sauces on the floor, cause then you'll get a visit by the ants.

Cons: The toilette had a certain stench

Cons: You have to go far to get the key. the apartment was not cleaned when we arrived and was first cleaned when we had called two times. the tv set was out of order and was not fixed before we left although we was promised a new tv.

Pros: Great access to cathedral and la ramblas.
Cons: Ants; noise from construction

Pros: Apartment was reasonable in most ways
Cons: Did not get instructions on getting keys to apartment, had to go half way across city to get keys, having to leave wife and boys waiting at apartment. i must say not very good and also expensive for a taxi.

Pros: the apartment was clean and easy to access, once we got the keys. great location in the gothic quarter. staff was friendly and it was easy to just leave the keys when we were done. i came with the whole family and my sons especially enjoyed the stay in the apartment, ranking it as one of their favorite places we stayed in spain.
Cons: the process of getting the keys was a bit difficult. hotel boutique was not well marked or particularly easy to find. the shower went cold without warning at times.

Pros: Excellent apartment and location.
Cons: Its a pain having to pick keys up from different location especially when you have suit cases to carry around.room wasnt ready when we arrived.

Pros: Perfect location for nightlife and seeing the attractions of barcelona, wonderful and helpful staff

Pros: Very central for visiting sights of barcelona , and pleasant area to stay
Cons: Whilst rooms were cleaned , walls were grubby and some furniture tired and grubby.mattress on bed had been folded and so had ridge down middle causing you to roll out of bed.no uk tv channels. sheets and towels were stored for other appartments so had daily disturbance to pick up sheets and towels for other appartments

Pros: The appartments were brilliant for us. everything we needed was there. we rented two appartments between 9 girls and we could not get over the value for money. the appartments were clean, well centred and spacious. it was exactly what we needed.

Cons: It cost 20euros extra on taxi waiting for keys and no air cond. which is a must also no proper place to dispose of your rubbish plus pictures on net very deceiving

Pros: Close proximatey to la ramblas. quieter street and excellent local restaurant in the adjacent square.
Cons: Overlooked the back of a large office block, however this did not effect our stay.

Pros: The 2 apartments were really well decorated and better than your normal holiday apartment. on arrival the rooms were spotless. the location of the apartments were great, close to the beach and the nightlife. i would definently recommend the apartments to friends and family.

Pros: Walking distance from las ramblas was a positive, and the apartments were very clean and had most things we needed.
Cons: I was not contacted by the apartment owners prior to our stay, i called them a couple of days before as we had not received any information on what to do when we got to barcelona. we had to go to an address in the middle of the night (as that's when we arrived) which looked closed, and had to pay everything upfront before even seeing the apartments, we were not 100% happy about doing this. we were also told that we would get the deposit we paid on our credit cards back within 2-3 days if there was no problems. now they are saying it could take 1-1.5 months unless we provide a load of extra details which i am not happy about doing. not the service we were expecting to be honest.
the apartment was a lot smaller than advertised, one of our showers was not attached to the wall and the other didn't work fully - i.e. went hot and cold throughout the shower. we thought the area was slightly dodgy, a lot of taxi drivers would not take us there, and myself and a friend were mugged on the corner to placa de sant miquel - next to out aprtments.

Cons: Lies about return of deposit, key handed to cleaner when she arrived at 11am of day of departure apartment was left spotless even mopped all floors. now they tell me no keys were left which is a complete lie. the 12 guests will be putting reviews on to indicate this also ants in kitchen. i will be seeking legal advice on this matter as i personally took responsibilities for returning keys to cleaner and leaving apartment spotless. after posting 12 reviews from our party anyone booking with this company must need their heads examaning. these people are very quick to take deposits they take no responsibility to come and check the place with the parties. this is by no means the end of this. i want my deposit back. would advise people to stay on the streets rather than here con merchants
