 "Do not stay here"
This place is a dump. They should not be allowed to rent out rooms in these conditions. While I was there the NY Board of health was marking rooms as uninhabitable. Charging people to stay in this place is just wrong.

 "a perfect solution to visit NY"
I've read bad rewiews of this hotel, the fact is that the first impression is bad: no elevator and tha stairs are in lousy condition, the bathroom is very tiny and the moquette very old ... BUT, the position is incredible (Times Square is in the parallel street), the room is clean and the bed very confortable, there is free wifi and there is breakfast ( just cofee or tea and some croassants and donuts with marmelade and butter but at bufffet). I've seen they're working on the hotel to change room by room and everyone is very gentle. They kept our luggages for free after the check out. So, no luxury, but take a look at the prices of the other hotels and decide if you prefer stayin' more days in Ny or have more comforts for less days.

 "New York Inn : CHEAP and FANTASTIC!!!!!"
We are very happy about New York Inn. It is an american old style building in the heart of Manhattan... 100 yards/meters from underground and same distance from Time Square. The breackfast is very good and there are toast, bagel, croissant, muffins....etcStaff is kind, professional and always available; every morning they clean room and change towels.We are an italian young couple and we suggest Hotel New York Inn; cheap, excellent location, clean and kind staff.Thank you New York InnLuca and Cristina

 "The staff was very helpful and accommodating"
Pros: The staff was very helpful and accommodating. and the location of the hotel was top notch. about 2 blocks from time square.
Cons: I should've paid extra $30-$40 and stayed in a nicer/cleaner/better hotel. the rooms are extremely small and dirty. i opted not to take shower that evening.

 "The only positive thing was the price and location"
Pros: The only positive thing was the price and location
Cons: Most of the staff was great and accomedating, however the hotel horrible no toilet paper holder, lights were on a timer so they would randomly go off, and the one employee flat out insulted me to my face and it was not until i threatened to never stay at his hotel again did he apologized. however i will never will stay at that hotel again

 "The gentleman at reception when arrived knew who we were and received us..."
Pros: The gentleman at reception when arrived knew who we were and received us very kindly and courteously. he gave us a choice of rooms and offered us a beverage. the hotel also offers free internet access although the computer is not in an ideal location. they also offer breakfast inclusive in the price which, understandably is not sumptuous but is quite adequate.
Cons: Our room was probably the smallest i have ever had. the door for the bathroom was close to and right opposite the main door so you had to be careful or they would hit. the sink was so small that it was difficult even to wash your hands. the shower was not easy to use so it was difficult to get hot water. there is no lift so if you are on the top floor it's a bit of a hike.

Pros: Well they did provide us with another room, because the first one was inadequate, and staff were very helpful.
Cons: The hotel wasn't paid, which was a minus, and there were no lifts, the first room was airy, and loud, some fan next building was heard as well as other outside noises, the room was tiny, and cold. the second room was warm but also small, with no hooks, shower didn't have hot water, and very small.

Pros: Prior reviews were accurate. amazing location but very ordinary hotel. free internet.
Cons: Breakfast is subway, only stairs, very noisy airconditioner and i had about another 10 loud aircon units outside my window and the window didn't shut properly. the door is not hung straight so there's a gap to the corridoor letting in more noise. it's better than a hostel but definitely not the hilton. if you're a decent sleeper, the location makes up for all the bad stuff. no safe or lockers so don't leave any valuables in the room.

Pros: The location of the hotel was very close to times square which was convenient.
Cons: Parts of the building were condemned,there was a mouse in our room with droppings in multiple locations. the building for the most part was run down, very dirty and in worse condition than many european hostels that i have stayed in.
