Nanford Guest House Oxford  

It was noisy outside the house at night. The room and the furnitures feelt dirty espacially the bed. The bathroom were good accept that the water ran realy bad from the shower.The good about this room were that it was close To town about 10-15 min walking To the centrum.

I was very pleased with my stay at the Guest House. The staff are very friendly and service oriented. I was there on business, so used the room only for sleeping, and I am pleased. Also it is not so far away from the city center or the different colleges. A plus is that the area is a safe and student friendly area even during night.Of course, the accomodation is no Hilton, so you get what you pay for.

Pros: Good size of bedroom and bathroom.

great room for price.

Pros: I liked very much the breakfast!! you can choose almost what you want (english breakfast, toast, eggs... and tea or coffe with biscuits, cereals, yogurt...)

Pros: Close to oxford university & oxford train station. can reach by bus or walking 35-40 minutes.
Cons: Bathroom very small with tiny stand-up shower. very narrow staircase leading up 3 flights of stairs.

Pros: We experienced friendly services by the staff and having the car park is great
Cons: (1) we would appreciate better-sized towels and not those used for wiping hands, and (2) the office is in such poor state that it gave us a very bad first impression. also, it smells and we suspect the overall hygiene of the food.

Pros: I felt that you got what you paid for - at about £30 per person i wasn't expecting a lot, and we didn't get a lot!

Pros: Cheap accommodation in oxford is difficult to find so this was a plus. and breakfast is included. you can easily walk to the town centre from the hotel, or take one of the buses which stop outside.
Cons: You get what you pay for: it's far from palatial. the decor is old, the plumbing questionable, the creature comforts are few, although there was a tv and ensuite.

Pros: Breakfast was ok
Cons: Very tatty overall, tiny en suite, decor grim, tv not working, only two old towels for two adults. sorry could not recommend

Cons: Run down appearance of hotel and room. outlook to rear over very scruffy yard. carpets would benefit from a good clean!

Pros: Kindly host and staff - "old fasioned linen" - and exellent breakfast.
Cons: Too much furniture / too little space in our 3-bed room.

Pros: Very good location and value. breakfast was good, and having parking provided helped!
Cons: The parking means that once parked you can't access your vehicle before 9:30am the next morning, but this wasn't a problem for us.

Pros: Suprisingly good breakfast.
Cons: The hotel had a very unpleasant smell. carpets were very old and badly stained. no mattress covers.beding clean. would only recommend to the desperate!

Pros: There was wi-fi in the room which was very convenient. breakfast was good. the location was convenient. the shower had warm water and there was a bathroom fan.
Cons: This hotel was not up to the standards of any hotel selection service. the beds, mattresses, comforters and pillows looked like they were from a secondhand store. they were old and nothing matched. the room was very small. the room was located over the dumpster and the window could not be closed. so, in the evening, the room smelled like urine and there were 2 flies in the tiny room. there was a closet that was held closed by a coat hanger. given the condition of the room, i was fearful that there were bugs and that the neighborhood was unsafe. i would never have stayed in such a place if i had known what it would be like. i did read some of the reviews and there was no indication of what we found.

Pros: Quick cheap and easy.
Cons: Terrible shower.
