 "Stay at alma"
An excellent hotel and one I will certainly return to. The hotel itself was close to the heart of many of the tourist attractions and within walking distance of the Sagrada Familia and the Casa Battlo. It was close to a lovely shopping street and a metro. However its most outstanding feature was the quality of the staff team. Nothing was too much trouble for the concierge staff or the bar/restaurant staff. The rooms were very clean but a little dark - I suspect this would not be an issue in the summer months. I appreciated the calmness of the hotel but it may be a little too quiet for guests who want a 'party' atmosphere. The Alma Hotel must rank as one of the best I have ever stayed in. A truly memorable stay.

La Casa Mila, Casa Batlló and Santa Caterina's Market are popular attractions that are easy to reach from this accommodation. A museum visit is always interesting; try the nearby Museum of Contemporary Art or National Library of Catalonia. Palau de la Musica Catalana is easily accessible.
