All fantastic but got there to find that easytobook hadnt put my details through so in fact we had no booking at all - thankfully we were early enough to still get a family room .Brilliant value to money and lovely staff.

Although there was a constant party putside our window we slept well and the music was only a very nice background. No noises from fellow guests at the hostel and friendly service at the breakfast. Room was well sized with good wardrobe and extra thick mattrasses in two of the beds. I did, however, miss a small lamp in my bed next to the window so there was no night reading. And it was tricky to remember which switch was for the bathroom - kept switching on the light in our bedroom the first nights.Bathroom was excellent. Price was good. I had loved a children price - any small discount for bringing minors but I really cannot complain. An excellent choice.

Previous stays in Dublin hostels have been the usual, noisy, cramped experiences and conditions not always up to standard. Gogarty's though was quiet, considering the time of year, and despite being above a very lively bar, it is on the very edge of Temple Bar so doesn't get the full blast of tourist/party noise. Check-in was simple, friendly and efficient, electronic keys offer greater security, and the room I had was very neat and tidy. Real sprung mattress rather than the thin foam associated with many hostels, crisp linen and a wonderful power shower made for a good sleep and an invigorating start to the day.Breakfast provided is basic continental style but perhaps could have had a little more variety, boiled egg, ham perhaps, to compliment the cereals/toast/jam/cheese/fruit. There are self-catering facilities if you want more.Overall a good deal, but it would be interesting to see how it copes when full.

This property is essentially a Hostel and is not a Hotel and to market and sell this property as a Hotel is perfectly wrong. As a Hostel this property is of a certain standard that would be excellent value at €15 to €20 per room but the room is extremely poor value at €50.00. I would NEVER stay there again. The Staff were absolutely excellent and very polite, I would give them a 100% rating. Other than that I would implore you to stop marketing this Hostel propoerty as a Hotel Property. Kindly note.
