 "Thank you Townhouse for a great intro to Dublin and Irish hospitality!"
I really enjoyed my stay at the Townhouse. After spending 6 years in Asia, I really enjoyed coming into a place that had so much character and felt so homey. I loved the huge flowers on the lobby carpet, the wi-fi lounge with the portrait paintings, the cosiness of my room, the lovely bathroom, the clean airy dining room, the helpfulness and friendliness of the staff. Just one thing: Arriving in my room at 11.30 pm, I was smacked in the face by the heat in the room. I was told there was no way to put the radiator off, and just to open the window if it was too hot for me. That is what I did for the night, but it felt a shame to be wasting so much energy. I'm not used to central heating and I can't sleep in a heated room, but some people may be happy to read this! It was freezing cold outside!

Pros: The townhouse is in a beautiful old building but with modern facilities. the staff are wonderful and the beds are the comfiest i've ever slept in. i really couldn't say enough positive things about it.
Cons: Nothing negative. although if i were to be extremely picky, i would recommend that they serve veggie sausages/bacon with the breakfast rather than vegetarians just 'going without'.
