Excellent location, right in the heart of the city. The entrance could be a little more charming. Breakfast was good enough, thought a little incomplete. The TV could have more channels in other languages.

2 day stay, hotel is near to damrak and square, close to redlight district in ideal location, plenty of bars and food places near.. hotel was clean and staff friendly.. ive been to Amsterdam a few times and this is the best hotel so far ive been in ..

The location just off Dam Square was great for restaurants and attractions but hotel rooms were very small and basically furnished. Continental breakfast lacked choice. Baggage has to be hauled up a flight of stairs to reach reception

Friendly staff and very helpful. Breakfast fine, plenty toast, cheese, cucumber , tomatoes, yogurt etc.Although on a busy street and the room was facing the front it was fairly quiet. The room was very basic but clean. The bathroom was extremely small and my friend was unable to access the shower as it was directly behind the toilet - it won't do if you're elderly or infirm. We paid £50 per night each which I thought was firly expensive for the type of accommodationAlthough our flight was late in the eveniing the hotel allowed us to use a locker for the day at no charge

this was an excellient place for a short stay, ideally located to all venues of interest, two min from central station, Room a little on the small size, and notmuch storage space, breakfast was excellient, all staff very friendly, and the hotel was very clean, towels changed every day would use this hotel again and reccommend to anyone Italian restuarant and pitza bar also would reccommend..

This hotel has a great location, decent continental breakfast and clean if quite small rooms. Very plain. Functional. A little disorganised checking in but overall happy with it. Hotel does allow smoking so some common areas and rooms have lingering smell.

The best thing with this hotel was the location. Walking distance from the hotel to all city center activities. I stayed in this hotel with my wife and got a twin bed room. A bad thing with these twin beds were that they slided away from eachother easily. But the beds were very soft and confortable. The breakfast was included when I booked the room. Otherwise they charged €7.50 for their breakfast buffe and it was worth the price I think. The cons with this hotel was the TV was very small, like 15 inches small and you can hear the street noise until late in the nights. If you can't sleep if you hear sounds, this is a bad hotel for you.Overall the hotel was worth its price and we were very satisfied.

This hotel is excellently located very close to Dam Square, the staff friendly and efficicient, and great value for money. The rooms are clean, breakfast perhaps a bit "thin", but the only real problem the tiny bathroom, I had to sit sideways to use the toilet!

the room was not very good very small no tea making facilities.my room was ov erlooking main street and was very noisy both nights i could hardly sleep.i came back home shattered with lack of sleep. breakfast was very poor with no help from staff.all in all it was a very bad experience i could get a 5 star hotel in glasgow for the price i paid for a crap hotel

The rooms were very small and basic even though I had a double roomThe wall lights did not work so had to get out of bed to switch off a lightHowever the shower was hot and strongThe bathroom was too smalli did not get my wake up call as the phone was not workingThis was put replaced on the second night and worked okThe rooms were clean but the whole place was in need of a lick of paint

The hotel location is in the middle of town city and that is excellent! The hotel staff is polite and complaisant, the breakfast food enough divers and tasty.But furniture and particularly mattress is really terrible.

Me and my mrs stayed there for 3 nights and the beds and towels were changed daly, staff were friendly and hotel was clean with a bit of Amsterdam charcture , if u want luxury this is not for you but the location and local shops cafs and restaurants make up for this on a weekend away. Would defo stay here again

Hotel was basic but had what we needed and was immaculate. Location was ideal and right in the heart of the city. Breakfast was fine, selection of bread, rolls, cheese, meat and salad on offer as well as cereal, tea, coffee and juices. I would recommend this hotel.

Located at few steps from Dam Square, one of the few hotels in Amsterdam where you can find an elevator. The cleanliness and the food are very good. From the hotel you can reach every attraction in 40-45 minutes maximum by feet.

We stayed for three nights for a long weekend, the hotel is situated right in Dam Square. It was clean, friendly staff and good value for money. Plus is had THE best mattress and pillow we've ever had the pleasure of using!! My partner has a bad back and wakes everyday in pain, first pain free nights of his life staying here :)

The location of The Doria was ideal. Bang smack in the middle of town, therefore close to all amenities. The bedrooms were very clean, and the service provided included housekeeping daily. The bed was comfortable and the en-suite perfectly functional. I would have liked more wardrobe space and coat hangers (but doesn't every woman?) The directions to The Doria provided when booked were greatly appreciated - from the airport to the Dam (including which tram to take). I opted for inclusive breakfast (continental style provided) and was pleased breakfast times stayed open until 10.00a.m (so no ridiculous early rise whilst chilling in The Dam. Reception staff were chatty and relaxed. I would stay again happily. I didn't give a full mark for service as we didn't require much service other than what was provided, so I am unsure what other services or standard of service would have been provided. Being picky the room and en-suite could have been a wee bit bigger.

The staff at the Doria where very genuine and helpful and cleanliness was better than a lot of hotels we have stayed in.The Doria is perfectly placed near Dam Square close to tram routes, red light area and not too far from the station.The rooms where adequate and certainly not oversized and some of the other guests had no respect for anyone else banging doors early in the morning and shouting.

The Doria apparently was renovated recently, clean rooms, very courteous and friendly service, the room I stayed in was perfect nice size room that was refreshed daily, only negative review would be WIFI service it was really badThank you Doria Job well done
