 "Great Place to Stay"
First night service in the restaurant was extremely slow for the number of customers...all other times were great. Food is very good...beds are very firm, but everyone else in the family loved them. The SPA is outstanding. Staff is outstanding, especially Ella. Can't wait to return. This was my second visit. Great Memories!

 "Great Historic Hotel"
This is my third stay at this hotel and would not stay in any other in Galveston. Rooms are clean, comfortable and quiet. Their pool is the best with plenty of sitting. Swim up bar is also a great touch. Situated right across the beach but not much of a beach there. Go to Stewart beach which is about 1/2 mile from Galvez. Hotel has bikes you can take and ride along the seawall. Very historical, over 100 years old but has all modern amenities. Check out their museum on the ground floor. They also have a great spa.I have stayed there alone and with friends. I have always felt safe and welcomed. Their staff can't do enough for you. They are pricey during high season but spent the extra money. You won't be disappointed.
