"A good hotel with excellent staff"

We arrived late at night, so the owner called us and has been searching for us. When we asked about getting a hairdryer, he agreed to lend us his own. He always kept asking what we would like more or better. There is only one small towel in the room, and the hotel is also very hard to locate.

"It was a perfect place for taking the boat trip i was planing"

Pros: It was a perfect place for taking the boat trip i was planing. really nearby the pier. the staff (owners) was really helpfull with everything i needed.
Cons: I didn't find it easy.

Pros: The location in la spezia is excellent--right in the heart of an animated part of town and within easy walking distance of the train station to cinque terre. the staff was helpful and informative, and the room was comfortable enough for a hostel-type hotel.
Cons: This isn't the hotel's issue at all, but parking in la spezia is an absolute madhouse. (the person who checked us in gave us good recommendations about where to go, though). because it's in an animated part of town, it's not a very quiet place, either, and the jackhammers started working at about 8 am, it seemed. again, not the fault of the hotel, but it didn't help our sleep.

"If you're after a really cheap place right in la spezia, then this was..."

Pros: If you're after a really cheap place right in la spezia, then this was great. the room and bathroom was very clean. probably wouldn't stay more than a couple of nights though.
Cons: When i first arrived there was an english speaking guy, but then there was just an old lady who couldn't speak a word. she was nice enough though and i got by. bathroom was very small, but i expected that.

It was a perfect place for taking the boat trip i was planing

The small and cozy hotel Teatro, recently restructured, is located in the pedestrian area of the historical center of La Spezia and enjoys tranquillity as well as a familiar management. Very close from the railway station and few meters from the Morin walk, a touristic harbour from where leave the boats that links the city with the Cinque Terre, Lerici and Portovenere, the hotel is the ideal place for a relaxing stay, close to the sea and the beauties of the Gulf of the Poets. The city of La Spezia, thanks to the particular conformation of its gulf, enjoys a privileged climate and it is for this reason that you can visit it during the various seasons of the year.
