nice staff / French and English speaking. subway station really close to hotel.10mn from plaza Catalunya and 10mn walking from la Sagrada Familia: very convenient !hotel is clean and rooms are quite modern; only one bad point: air conditioning is not working ( in both rooms we had). it is an air shuffling system not cooling. avoid this hotel in summer times ! it s a shame since everything else is fine...

we were four nights in the the hotel; every thing was nice and personal were friendly and could speak english well, we didn't have any problem for communication. whenever we asked something they guided us very well. the hotel is located in close to the metro station and you can access to transportation easily. there was just a problem because our room was located in the first floor near the restaurant and in early morning made nose.

Excellent hotel right near a metro station. The staff were so lovely and helpful! The area we stayed in felt safe and was a short walk to Sagrada Familia.Where we stayed was in walkable distance to every tourist site - It might have taken us an hour to walk to the port/beach from our hotel, but the sites on the way, were extremely enjoyable and worthwhile walking to.Excellent, beautiful city and can't wait to go back!! Would definately recommend the hotel and the city!

Pros: Friendly helpful staff, beautiful view of city on rooftop.
Cons: The hotel was a little far out. but train station clot is around the corner. 15 min walk to sagrada familia. food in restaurant was not great. fried potatoes are chips.

Pros: The hotel was clean,very small swimming pool on the roof but it got very little use,so it was perfect for sun bathing.
Cons: Room tiny.no iron in hotel,you have to pay €6 to have a tee shirt ironed!although it is right beside the metro(which is fantastic service) you might as well go further out from the city and get another hotel beside the metro.the location is poor.

Pros: My girlfriend and i are on a month long tour of europe. catalonia atenas has been by far the nicest hotel we have been to, and also one of the most affordable (thanks to easytobook.com). the staff is simply superb, they not only answer any questions that you may have, but also to advise you where you simply must go and how to get there with ease. the hotel is very clean, and in general a pleasure to be inside. the breakfast is vast and delicious, where they will prepare eggs, omlettes, bacon and etc for you, along with a vast array of baked goods (it was 7€ each when we were there). the hotel also offers a snack bar, this is so you can feed while the rest of the country is in siesta and all the shops close down. to our suprise, the snack bar is very well priced (a pizza is 6€, wings are 4€), and also tastes very good.
if i ever go back to barcelona, which i would very much enjoy doing, i would certainly stay at the catalonia atenas. easy to access via metro (clot station), in the heart of the city, and very friendly people. a++ would buy again!

Cons: The reception seems too busy to entertain guest with timely & effeciency. i requested for a battery for the remote control 4 days later, i checked out still waiting for it.

Cons: When i came there, they told me, that internet collapsed and they are fully booked. so, they sent me to another hotel, which was worse! next day i had to come back with all my luggafe! it was really unpleasant experience!
