 "Average & comfortable"
All correct but one of the days the main hall had a pretty disgusting smell. Seemed to be from the cleaning material or the water for cleaning or the mop used. The rest all good. Nice quality sleep, clean rooms and fully refurbished.

we liked our room but we heard our neighbours and the water falling down from the bathrooms above us. It was very annoying, especially during the night. We woke up various times because of the noise of the water or the showers.We didn't like to have towels wich weren't very white and very cleaned.And unfortunately we didn't have a beautiful view from our room.The hotel is very near the station and that's a big advantage. And the surroundings are nice, there are as well a few bars and restaurants.

the hotel was ok, the room was clean but not its utilities (especially towels and bedsheets were stained) the location was good as not far from the metro station, the room was ok and spacious enough, but often it was hard to fall asleep and sometimes i woke up too due to the drainage pipe in the wall which made an absurde noise everytime someone upstairs went to the bathroom, one night a dripping noise was coming from our bathroom but we didn't know where from and it continued for at least 20 minutes, luckily they changed us room, but still in this one the same thing happened even if for a shorter time.. very annoyingi was bothered by the fact that the breakfast was not included, although it was quite good and tasty,however, for the price i paid for staying there 6 nights i expected something better and an included breakfast, but anyway we had a good stay in barcelona

This hotel is located pretty close to Sants Station but that ends the positives as the hotel is dirty, rooms are small and amenities non-existant. Black hairs in the tub and on the bathroom floor. Breakfast room depressing and price for the breakfast is expensive. Only one tiny elevator. Mini bar empty on arrival. Very disappointed in this hotel. Stay somewhere else as there are lots of other options nearby.

Cons: I really didn't understand why this hotel had a 3 star rating. the room was modest for the price and staff was a bit standoffish. we were in barcelona during the airline strike, which included trains and buses. we had already checked out of the catalonia and could not fly out and had to get a room at a hostel down the street. the hostel was very clean, had everything the 3star hotel had but air-conditioning and we only paid $50.00 a night. i was disappointed in the price and rooms at the catalonia.

Pros: The room was clean and comfortable and very quiet.
Cons: It was important for me the have a wifi connection as i work from my laptop. there was no wifi, the line is unsecured and local access only. i informed the staff but they did not seem to know why and didn't have a connection at the front desk themselves they said. as i was only staying a night i didn't worry too much but i wouldn't be able to stay here again.

Cons: The people of the reception weren't really welcoming.
the paint of bathroom walls is falling down... and the water running constantly in the toilet.
and i found it difficult to sleep a bit in the morning because of the noise made by the cleaning women.

Pros: Very close to tube which is only 1 euro 35 to get you to centre. and the train station is walkig distance from the hotel and to get you to and from the the airport is a direct train and only costs 1 euro 35 each way but a taxi will cost you 28 euro. the hotel is 7 stops from las ramblas and i recommed not staying in the las ramblas area as its very loud. the hotel is good as just a base we only slept there.

Pros: Hotel was very close to the metro and very easy to get around, it is also in a quieter area of the city.the staff were more than helpful and no problem with the language barrier.
Cons: Hotel was fine but the food was expensive but with local food places around the corner this wasn't a problem.another problem we encountered is that they had no recollection of us staying there we had our paperwork but they didn't. problem overcome to the expensive of other people.
