Hotel Aristote Brussels  

This place should be not called a "hotel", is miserable and the service is something to forget. At breakfast asked for hot water to tea, reception girl while on reading says there is a technical problem so there is no hot water. I said it is obligatory suply tea, coffe and milk at any breakfast and asked her to manage, it's up to the hotel. She insists had called a technician...I said I hadn´p pay for breakfast to a technician but to the hotel, she laughs and said I had payed not for a tea but for a breakfast so took coffe or milk !!! And when I said I'd ask for complains book she started laughing and went on reading her book.... Indeed next day someone asked aplogise and the girl went to boil water anywhere.

good location, clean room and good breakfast, I recommend that hotel if you are looking for a good value.

Arrived after long journey and young man at desk, Tabby or Tobby, seemed bothered that I interrupted his tv watching. I asked about wifi so I could call my wife and he just pointed to a badly written sign taped onto the counter. I tried to connect and it didn't work. I went back and asked for help (can't phone the desk from the room) and again he just pointed to the sign. I tried to decipher the sign but couldn't understand it. I asked him for help and he just shrugged. In the end, I couldn't phone my wife that night. The next day the new clerk showed me how to do it. It appears that you get breakfast when you book but when you get there they tell you it's an extra 6 euros. The room was tiny and stuffy with no windows that could open. The air was so bad I couldn't sleep. Don't stay there unless there are no other alternatives.

Very old, decadent and inhospit, so many lacks like holes in floor, shower tubes noisy and plenty of lime and mould about years veru difficult to clean...but for the price....

Excellent location, within walking distance of the city centre and Brussles midi.Friendly and informative staff especially Julia. Rooms are functional and maybe could do with an overhaul though they are clean.If you are on a low budget and intent on using a hotel for sleeping purposes only then the Aristote represents good value for money.

Pros: I liked that it was very nicely located however the area did not look so safe

Pros: Hotel staff spoke excellent english and were very helpful and always manned the front desk, any time day or night. the computer with free wifi in the lobby was extremely helpful to have access to.
Cons: No.

Pros: Really friendly staff. clean warm and central. fantastic value.

Pros: Internet access, breakfasts and location in the city centre
Cons: The room was tiny and i had a small window (30*30) which had view to the steps of another building, that is why i had to keep it close all the time.

Pros: Room was clean, hotel staff was helpful and friendly upon arrival.
Cons: Hotel staff should not engage in loud conversations while guests are having breakfast. the attendant was talking to a friend... and when it is morning, one just wants to relax and have some silence to eat.
