"Stay in Barcelona"

Excellent location. Average rooms. Walls too thin. Air conditioning leaked water into the room. Could not fix it the same day instead sent up a bunch of towels to put on the floor and fixed it the next day.

Pros: We have stayed here many times now and find it excellent for getting to most places we go to. the standard has always been consistent with friendly staff.
Cons: There is one problem with the hotel and that is the lighting in the bedrooms. each room we have had over time has been badly lit and if you get a room with only a small window this is even more noticeable.views from some of the rooms leave much to be desired but then that is the location rather than the hotel

Pros: Ideal location just off la rambla. plenty of quality restaurants and small bars/cafes in close proximity
Cons: Very noisey hotel. didn't have one quality nights sleep during stay. the walls are too thin and had plumbing noises in the bathroom day & night. we asked for quite double room and got noisey twin room.

Pros: Location of the hotel is really good you literally have everything at your doorstep beautiful location, the first impression of the hotel is good the reception area is very attractive.
Cons: The swimming pool on the roof is extremly small and the gym is not a gym but a bike and a bench, the bike did not even work it didn't have any resistance options. the wifi is only available in certain spots of the hotal and hotel food is abit over priced but that's ok because your really spoilt for choice in the area.

Pros: This is a perfect location for an initial exploration of the great city of barcelona. just off la rambla and within easy walking distance of many of barcelona's most interesting sites.
Cons: Internet! when you are traveling wifi is essential to planning your next days and staying in touch with work and family via email. the wifi service here was not good and the staff wasn't helpful in trying to solve our problems. we stayed in 12 different hotels during our time in spain and portugal and we found the services and the comforts were, for the most part, equivalent. the difference that we noticed most about the hotels that we stayed in was the ease of internet access. all of the hotels offered some level of access, but many only offered wifi in the lobby or in the common areas. the best, and this will be important in my selection of hotels in the future, had free wifi access that worked in the room.

Pros: Excellent location - 2 minutes walk to la ramblas. in the centre of the city, in easy reach of tube/buses etc. staff very pleasant and helpful. hotel lobby & bar area was very impressive but the rooms could have done with a bit of a face lift. all was very clean though, nice clean sheets and clean towels every day. although the hotel is in the heart of a very busy city - we were not disturbed with noise etc at night. although we didn't have breakfast in the hotel, it was quite expensive at eur18 - there are plenty of cafes to get breakfast within 1 minute walk - at eur5!!!
Cons: Room needed updating a little - the carpet was stained in places.
