Grasshoppers Hotel Glasgow  

Twin rooms booked but got doubles. No manager on site over weekend to sort out all our problems. However, comfy bed and room clean but just couple of hooks to hang clothes up. Sliding bathroom door not good.

The Grasshoppers hotel has an excellent, central location; the room was clean, comfortable and modern even though it is small; the staff were absolutely fabulous -- friendly, helpful, prompt, and available; and the breakfast was fresh and delicious and the optional supper was also great. The only odd thing: because the hotel is on the top floor of an office building, there is no hotel lobby at street level. Instead, one enters through a non-descript office door and if you arrive after hours, the door is locked. You need to call the staff person. But, coming from outside the U.K., I didn't have a mobile phone yet to use there and thus it was confusing how to get in and accesst the hotel.
