We had the most amazing time at the Princesa Sofia, we stayed in a club room and used the club lounge on the 18th floor. The upgrade was definately worth it, the service was outstanding and we were made to feel very welcome. Would definately stay here again.

This hotel has all you would need for short break in Barcelona service, food, and cleaniness all of a excelllent standard, food excellent but dinner for two can work out a little pricey around 170 euro including wine and drinks.Location is around 20 minutes by metro to the city centre/Las Rambas, although on the positive side open top city tour bus stop/taxi rank right outside hotel.Watch out for the daily additional charge per person to use the Spa and pool.

i booked my father and mother for a trip to barcelona for my mums birthsay. the staff could not have been nicer to my folks for their stay. the staff looked after them very well, my mum had champagne and a cake left in her room for the first night. the weelness centre was excellent, the facilities were top grade. although a little expensive, my parents were treated like vips and really enjoyed their stay. i would have absolutely no hesitation at reecommending this hotel, which, in my estimation, is one of the finest.

Pros: We were in a club room and had access to the vip lounge area which was fantastic.
Cons: Only issue we had was we requested breakfast in our room and we were charged the full breakfast amount even though we were on a bed and breakfast tarriff. normally you pay a slight charge to have your breakfast in your room but we did ont think for one minute that we would be charged the full amount of the breakfast.

Pros: - definitely better than 4-star, but not deluxe hotel
- cheaper than alternatives at late notice
- well appointed room, not too far from town centre
- they left cava & cake in my room on my birthday, which was a very nice touch!
Cons: - they charge eur 12 per person per day to use the pool!!! seems a bit cheeky to advertise it then charge extra.
- some way out of gothic/ramblas areas you want to be in
