Cons: My key never worked. every time i got back to the hotel, i went to my room to find that the key didn't work, and had to return to the reception to get a new one. obviously you're not allowed to keep the key near any other creditcards or cellphone - but that is very difficult!
Cons: Robbed right outside door on first evening,but is commonplace in barcelona,rooftop terrace not as portrayed,just plastic pool type furniture and no bar facilitiy

Cons: There was no air conditioning-they said they only have 1 system & it had already been changed over to heat. they did provide a small room fan which helped somewhat. found ants on the floor-they did spray when advised. room much smaller than it appears in photos.

Cons: There was no tea/coffee making facilities in the room, and although this sounds not important, i have stayed in barcelona 3 times both previous occasions were in 3* hotels an both of those had these facilities and just made your time in the hotel room nicer. in the 'room facilities' on the web page it said that there was a safe but there was not.

Located one block from Plaza Catalunya, Inglaterra Barcelona is a quiet boutique-style hotel housed in a six storey building with captivating wrought iron balconies. It is situated two blocks from Las Ramblas and the Barcelona Museum of Contemporary Art and 250 meters from the Gothic Quarter.
The Inglaterra roof terrace offers a tranquil sanctuary above one of Barcelona's busiest districts. It is decorated with plants of various shapes and sizes and has sun loungers, parasols, tables and chairs. There is a restaurant which serves buffet breakfasts and has a Mediterranean à la carte menu for lunch and dinner. The bar serves drinks and light snacks throughout the day. Guests of the Inglaterra Barcelona can access the Internet free of charge in the reading room area which has complimentary international papers and soft tan sofas and armchairs.
The Inglaterra hotel’s 55 air conditioned rooms are light and decorated in beige, with floor-to-ceiling drapes and light wood furnishings. Large wooden headboards are inlayed with white panels displaying Japanese characters. Rooms vary in shape and size but all have cable TV with pay movies and free wireless Internet access. The grey marble bathrooms feature handheld showers, hairdryers and magnifying mirrors.

The Barcelona Museum of Contemporary Art is only a five-minute walk away; the reception staff can provide simple directions. The Inglaterra is located one block from Plaza Catalunya, two blocks from Las Ramblas and 250 meters from the Gothic Quarter.
The nearest metro stations are Universitat and Plaza Catalunya. El Triangle shopping center is opposite the hotel.
