well I stayed for two night and it value for money. the location was off to the Ramblas and walking distance to the metro. the breakfast was excellent and the staff are very friendly and helpful. this is where I will stay for my next trip to Barcelona.

convenient for la rambla and port area. Hotel clean and very helpful staff. Great if you will be out and about most of the time as little in the way of lounge / reception area.If you need this look for other 3 star hotels.

Cheap but first class. Room had a king size bed and two singles in it + very nice bathroom. Everything very clean and tidy, various teas and coffees selection in room + tv. Excellent buffet breakfast.

Would definitely stay here again! The stff were extremely helpful and friendly, and very funny. The rooms were neat and clean and the breakfast was tasty! Great location near a metro stop and las ramblas, and a short walk from the airport bus. Really made our holiday easy staying here!

Easy to walk everywhere, metro station just round the corner. Breakfast was various. Our room was small but just suitsble for long weekend. Staff was helpfull and friendly.

The hotel serves breakfast: rubber scrambled egg and everything cold that is supposed to be hot. The tea and coffee in the room is undrinkable. However, given the noise of Las Ramblas, the location is excellent, the rooms clean and pleasant and the staff very helpful. I would go there again.

Hotel is very basic and although the breakfast is in the price there was only one lady to clean the tables and keep refreshing the buffet breakfast and my wife is a vegan and only had bread and tea every morning .We had been given a " nice " room at the front of the hotel ,When we went in the room it was tiny with a small window in it ( all the other rooms on the front had balconies) the walls were also quite dirty ( a simple lick of paint would have went a long way )I saying that the staff were very friendly and awnsered any question as best they could

The reception staff were very helpful and pleasant. The hotel colour scheme is rather garish, and the rooms are fairly small, but position-wise it is perfect for a visit to Barcelona.

One of the worst hotels i have ever been too . The aircondition is terrible and so are the rooms . It doesn't deserve even one star our stay there was a nightmare i wouldn't adviice anyone to stay there. They let me pay for an extra bed although they had no any available i had to pay for it because i had a train to catch and had no time to argue.

We stayed 4 nights at Moderno in the busy June/July season which coincided with the school holidays, start of the July sales and most importantly the Spanish world cup football victory! The hotel is located right in the middle of la rambla so couldn't be more convenient. Check-in and -out were a breeze, completed in seconds by amiable and helpful staff. The room (203) was spacious and clean, if a little spartan, but the price reflects that. Being at the back of the hotel, having no view was countered by the total quietness; a definite plus on the night of the WC victory as ramblas was going off in a huge way! Meaning we could join in the celebrations in the street then retreat to calm and quiet while the city partied on. Breakfast was good - bacon, sausages, cold meats, eggs, tortilla, breads and pastries, yoghurt and fruit, cordials, tea & coffee. The famous Bouqueria is just a few steps away, as are many good bars, restaurants, nightclubs and the metro station. The hotel even has a very good and well-priced restaurant. The staff couldn't have been more pleasant and obliging with helpful information and addressing minor problems that arose such as interruption to wifi. Would definitely stay again.

Alex, the clerk, at the hotel was extremely helpful, courteous, and patient with our questions and requests.Although we couldn't get the room we booked because of an air-conditoning failure, we were assigned two single rooms, and treated to dinner and champagne at the restaurant next door.My husband had a problem with his wallet being stolen, and Alex just sent us a followup e-mail regarding this.We would highly recommend this hotel.

This hotel is in a great location just off Las Ramblas. Nearest tube station is Liceu and easy walking distance. The hotel is 10minutes walk if you get of the airobus at Plaza Catalonia. The staff are very helpful and the breakfast was plentiful with lots of variety. The room was small but adequate. The bed could have been a bit firmer for my back. The room had a small fridge and a kettle with tea and coffee making, this was a bonus to keep drinks chilled.

Good location for access to all the sties. The hotel staff were efficient and friendly who spoke good English. The hotel it's self gives you what you pay for. Breakfast has a good selection. I would go back as it was value fr money and location.

The metro station Liceu is acrooss the street, also a walking distance Ramblas, Plaza Catalunya, Corte Ingles and the maremagnum area. The reception area was amazing, very nice people.

Everything was perfect!!! If i have to complain: the aircondition was noisy and the window was almost blocked. The breakfast was simple without fresh fruit and only toast like bread.
