 "Lovely hotel but extra charges disgusting"
The Kensington Close Hotel is superbly located and is a lovely place to stay, however poor checkin desk queue management and extra charges leave a disappointed feel. Charging £10 for Intranet when budget hotels don't charge Not Good No discount for parking when budget hotels give free or discounted parking Not Good. It's sad as this is a lovely hotel.

We were not told at check-in that there would be a charge for use of the swimmingpool of 8 pounds, but at the entrance of the pool we were told in a teacherlike manner.We took breakfast outside for the price is, as in most large hotels, high. We eat modestly at breakfast. We did not like the cold lighting of the bar area, not attractive, so we never chose to sit there and went out instead.

 "Stay at kensington close and spa"
I booked room via easy book website room which was shown on web page wasnt the same I got in hotel whwn questioned staff their about same I was told they dont have twin x doublebed room .no breakfast inclusive.only good thing is it was across from place I needed to go in the morning.not good value for money

 "Shame......"
Staff was fairly rude and unhelpful (had to return to reception twice as key card did not work as wrong room number had been written down), bathroom had black mould on all walls, TV only had 5 basic channels, three of which were so grainy due to bad reception that I was unable to watch these. Location is great (just a few steps off High Street Kensington which public transport virtually round the corner.

Pros: Exelent cleaning !!
Cons: The wi-fi connecting in rooms were almost non! the heating in the rooms were off when leaveing the room so when returning you would have to wait to hours with overcoat on..freeeezing!!!!!
