Hotel Deutsches Theater Downtown Munich  

The hotel was in a great location: close to the train station and the city center. The room was good sized for the 3 of us. The area was a little "adult" so I would not bring my children if I stayed here but we did not feel nervous. The elevator was very small and was a little unreliable. Our doorknob keep falling off and was never fixed during our stay. The front desk closed at midnight and guests had to enter through the backdoor with a key and then had to walk up the stairs because the elevator also closed at night. The staff was very nice. The free high-speed internet in the lobby was definitely not and the wifi was well worth the 2 euros a day. There was also a lot of construction going on but I will say the walls kept the sound out.

Pros: Room size was excellent, very clean and comfortable! walking distance to the main station! overall very positive experience!
Cons: A few too many pokie venues and strip clubs in the vicinity of the hotel!

Pros: The buffet breakfast was good
Cons: Part of the hotel/theatre is under renovation. when we arrived at the hotel we where told that the keys to our room had been lost and that we would be staying in the sister hotel around the corner.when we arrived it was like a hostel with a very small room. we went back to the deutsches theater hotel and insisted they give us a room there as the other place was a down-grade
