 "Made to feel really welcome"
Nice to be made to feel welcome and not be left to wander about the maze of Venetian streets on arrival. We were rather surprised when we booked to get an email not only telling us which vaporetto stop to get off at, but also offering to meet us there and guide us to the hotel itself. Slightly disconcerting when we emailed again, having initially decined the otfer of guidance but then having forgotten to bring the map, not to get a reply, but when we got there the hotelier, knowing what time our train arrived, rang us more than once to make sure we were on track and did meet us in Campo S. Stefano as promised, so all was well. We also appreciated being taken, rather than sent, up to our room and shown how everything worked, including the heating, though we didn't actually need that, as it was very mild and we were grateful for the recommendation of places to eat - and the map on which they were marked. It was also nice that they offered to let us leave our cases in the hotel on the day we left until we needed to pick them up, rather than having to ask if this would be possible.If there was a fault, it was that the breakfast was on the sweet side. Croissants, brioches, yoghurt - there might have been serial, but no muesli, no bread and cheese, which you often encounter in hotels these days, thanks, probably, to the Great German Holidaying Public. However in a Venetian hotel it is not unreasonable to get a Venetian breakfast. As the Torquay hotelier said when one of his guests complained about the view from her room: That is Torquay, madam. What do you expect to see from a Torquay hotel bedroom window?

 "Highly recommended"
Very clean and comfortable B&B. Excellent value for money for Venice. Very helpful owners gave us a map marked with recommended eateries, supermarkets and attractions and path back to the B&B, which can be difficult to find at first as it is in the middle of a maze of narrow alleys - we felt like the proverbial mice looking for the cheese until we got to know the route - but when you first arrive you will be met at a waterboat station and taken to the B&B . Room is basic but clean and comfortable .No tea/coffee facility however there is a kettle at reception just down the stairs.

Pros: Wonderful little b & b run by a really kind, helpful and professional couple. i will recommend it to all my friends and will definately stay there again. i was looking for four things from my venice accomodation: great location, clean and safe room, great price. i got all that and much more. thanks mario for your wonderful hospitality. (we are an australian couple with twin 6 year old boys).
