Hotel Hofwirt Salzburg  

We have booked a doubled bed room in the website, then when we arrive the hotel, the reception did not say anything special and just give us the key. But when we entered the room, we found that it is a triple room and there were three twin bed. It is different from our booking, so we went back to the reception and talked to them. Then the reception's manner became very bad and said, all other room were full and cannot change, if you really want to change it tomorrow, maybe you have to talk to another reception in the following day morning. We felt that she was so rude and unfriendly to the customer.

Pros: The help desk people were very cooperative. we had a problem with the hair dryer and when we asked the front office, they immediately gave us one which was very helpful and very prompt.
Cons: Not really. the next questions allows only one answer. we'd recommemd this hotel for all the sections of people ! we have given the hotel almost full marks. whatever statistics the hotel calculates and indicates the rating, we'd say the whole thing was "first class". very nice experience !!

Pros: Sylvia at the reception desk was wonderful. she provided us with all the information we needed for day trips, etc. she was cheerful & a very hard worker. free internet was awesome! loved the tv viewing area for the soccer game. great location.
Cons: Hotel location was excellent; although i think it would be helpful if you could put directions on the sight or print out with the way to the hotel (such as underground direction, where to get off, how far it is, etc.)

Pros: Staff were helpful in general. location was within walking distance from the old town where most of the attractions can be found.
Cons: Upon checkin we were not told of available rooms where internet can be accessed thru cable connection. we only learned about it from comments made in booking.com website and so we asked to be transfered. the bathroom was too small and faucets are rusty you would think they don't even check the quality of the rooms. we booked a double room but instead we got twin beds put together. they said they don't have double beds in the whole hotel! then they should only advertise twin rooms if that's the case. their rates are not also cheap therefore so much is expected from their hotel.

Pros: Staff very friendly and were able to give us help with sight seeing and other matters. breakfast was varied and well presented. the room was comfortable and roomy. good location of the hotel being close to centre of salzburg and transport.
Cons: This hotel was very pleasant and i have no negative points to report on our stay.

Pros: Excellent location at edge of old city area, excellent and friendly front desk staff, free parking. free internet access in rooms. fantastic free breakfast,
Cons: Internet access did not work in room 106. no electric kettle to make tea / coffee in room. no air conditioning in room. rooms facing street were noisy at night during summer with window open for ventilation
