 "Awesome hostel that does not feel like a hostel"
What a delightful 8 days at the Downtown Design Hostel. The host were very present but not overshadowing! The accommodations could not have been better, the breakfast so unique and delicious and the ambiance lovely! Jorge mom is awesome, if you preorder dinner for a small fee, she will make the most amazing dinner. The staff is extremely helpful. The location is the best, you are in the middle of everything. When I go to Portugal again, there's no other place for me but Downtown Design Hostel.

Awesome hostel that does not feel like a hostel

We are a small hostel located in the most important square of Lisbon Downtown, with an amazing view over the historic parts of Lisbon.We are located in a historic building that was refurnished to give you the best stay in this amazing city. You can count with a comfortable place with a distinct design for a very good price.Downtown Design Hostel is a place where you can feel the vibe of the city and still be in a comfortable and familiar place, where the hosts are there for you, to give you the best stay possible.We are a group of young people with experience in receiving tourists and very motivated to receive our new guests.After a day exploring the city, you can relax in our comfortable sofas and share your experiences with other guests and with us. You can also share you stay with your friends and family back home using our wi-fi internet access and our computers for free. If you want to relax, you can also watch a movie in our 40" plasma TV, play PS3 games or read a book. We have book crossing.Our breakfast is included for all our guests. It includes fresh bread and fruit, toasts, coffee, milk, tea, cereals and home made cakes. If you have some kind of restrictions in terms of food, talk to us so we can provide you a breakfast according to them.We have a communal kitchen where you can prepare your own meals. We also have home made meals of portuguese traditional food (surcharge).
