we spent 3 nights at the hotel.its located in a pretty good place, walk distance from most of the things (but you need good shoes and a will to walk cause thats how Rome is...).the breakfast was simple enough and the rooms are good (but if you come from a warm country and used to an AC its a problem because it works in the room but not too strong).the man in charge was very nice and gave us all the information we needed.it worth the money because hotels in Rome are expensive in the middle of the city and this hotel is located in a good place.

Pros: Personale is good and location is good for tourist
Cons: Breakfest seems a little cheap, better quality would be nice. but also a small place only like 10 rooms so that limits the options

Cons: We could here all the comings and goings at the reception area, had to ask to turn the tv down.
also the breakfast place, very small and not what we exspected as we had stayed in a few other places before, we were not impressed

Pros: 24 hour staff available who were very friendly and gave good advice to us as first time travellers to rome.

Pros: The staff were very friendly and helpful and the location was excellent for all the sights. the hotel was small but very adequate and very clean and breakfast was nice. i would recommend it to anyone.
Cons: The only problem was that we didn't have water for 24 hours, however we were able to shower st another hotel. it didn't disrupt our trip to much but we did have to keep asking when it was coming back on.

Pros: Very near to all attractions- staff very helpful and informative- rooms clean and attractive- we visited all tourist sites walking from hotel and found map provided easy to use- staff recommended which buses to use and also guided us to wonderful restaurants at reasonable prices. small friendly family hotel with 7 rooms and 24 hour reception.

Pros: Fantastic location, 10 minutes walk to vatican city and the castel st angelo can be seen from the bedroom window

Pros: We were in rome to celebrate our 5th anniversary and wanted somewhere to base a couple of days sightseeing from. very happy with hotel and location. quiet, with very nice, helpful staff. only a few rooms, and it was a little tricky to find as there is no sign outside.
the hotel is particularly well situated for walks along the river and visits to the vatican. it is a bit of a walk to the older parts of town, but we never felt the need for taxis or buses.
my final comment would be, the hotel is a good location for a base in rome, but i would question the "hotel de charme" statement, it's more practical than charming.
