"Perfect place near to Market Street and Union Square"

We loved to stay in this really special stylished hotel with its nice people. We got good advices from everybody what to see and where to go. Despite its location near Mission Road and Market Street the rooms are quiet.

Pros: The availability of a guest self-serve laundry is a huge bonus. we also liked the bar and cafe.
Cons: The disturbance caused by other guests was very disapppointing - slamming of doors, shouting, running up and down the verandahs throughout the night . (we even received a "practical joke" phonecall that woke us up at 1am ... presumably from another guest. we felt that the hotel was much more suited to younger travellers - not a middle-aged couple who just wanted a clean (which was provided) and quiet place to sleep for the night. after taxes the cost of nearly $200 aud per night was not good value for money.

Cons: When i booked the room i was quated on line $98.00 per night;
but when i checked out, my bill was $70.00 more; parking $30 dollars a day? should of been told that online....

morever, the hotel took the total amountg of payment+ 75$/ day at time of check in without informing us! which was a very frustrating thing as we were agroup of friends & planning to pay by cash.

"The room was clean"

Pros: The room was clean. the pool was very nice and private.
Cons: When we arrived in san francisco it was very hot and there was no air conditioning and the window opened onto a noisy and dirty street. very uncomfortable. the surrounding area was dirty and there was not enough restaurants/cafes to choose from. did not feel safe to walk around area after dark.

Pros: I was not aware of $20 parking daily. do your homework if your planning to stay in downtown san francisco.
Cons: Yes, there was two hidden surprises i was totally unaware of. #1. $20 parking in the hotel premises. #2. occopancy tax $18.95?!!!!!! that made me mad even more after my check out... never again....

"Very low rate via easytobook"

Pros: Very low rate via easytobook.com, unfortunately turned out to be an error, but hotel honored my rate. member of their joy of life club, but didnt get my welcome amenity.
Cons: Weather wasnt great, so didnt have a chance to use the pool.

The staff and the room were top shelf; awesome group of staff

Stay at the 3-star Best Western Plus Americania for the best San Francisco experience. Accommodation is plentiful here, with a large array of rooms to choose from. A lot of guests here come by public transport due to the proximity of Caltrain King Street Terminus. This is also a great location from which to walk to landmarks such as City Hall, TransAmerica Pyramid, and Transbay Train Terminal. Museum lovers should not miss Museum of Modern Art or Cable Car Museum; both are in proximity of this hotel. Moscone Center is within easy reach of this accommodation.
