Cons: The location in the tenderloin district is surrounded by homeless people, drug addicts, prostitutes and some pretty scary characters. we were scared to leave the hotel after dark.
Cons: Odd smell in one of the rooms (i think the previous occupant was the culprit and not the hotel staff in any way), scary location if you walk from the east at night (always take busses from van ness and walk east on ellis, not from east of the hotel! very sketchy neighborhood east of cova), very crowded breakfast area if you're not there when it opens (7:00 to ~8:00)

Cons: The homeless in the area were "interesting" and harmless.
Cons: The localization is not quite good: there is a lot of homeless and drugers along the block around the hotel.
Cons: Having to drive thru the homeless shelter was a little uncomfortable.
Cons: The tenderloin area of sfo is not the most desirable areas but being so close to the city centre you just have to have your wits about you and be careful.
