Pros: Does exactly what it says on the tin! nice decor (the birds on the wall!), comfy bed, good shower - nice toiletries (aveda). perfect for the beach...what more do you want?!
Cons: When we left we enquired about booking a room for our last night in florida before catching our flight back to the uk. it is such a shame that the reception desk cannot compete with online companies?! needless to say we stayed elsewhere...shame.

Pros: Hotel's location is quite good, a walking distant to the main attractions in south beach and it was very easy to get a cab outside the hotel.
Cons: My room was over looking the court yard and next to the ice machine so it was bit noisy. also it did not live up to the image on the web, bit out dated.

Pros: It was great to have breakfast included. the room was basic but clean ans serviced daily. the concierge was the only staff member who showed some interest in us as customers and was very helpful.
the pool area was nice and it was handy to have beach towels available.
Cons: The receptionists on duty during our stay could not really be bothered and made this pretty obvious. the guests in the room next to us had checked out very early and their bedside alarm went off at 6.30am and could loudly be heard in our room. when we called reception to ask for someone to come up and switch it off, nothing happened until one of us actually went downstairs to the desk and asked again. even then the receptionist was not best pleased to be disturbed. when presenting the bill at the end of our stay they had overcharged us for the valet parking (twice the amount, $34 per day) and didn't even apologize when we pointed this out. also, the bill was very complicated and difficult to read with all the charges being displayed daily and individually. there were also quite a few charges that came on top of the bill, e.g. beach sun loungers were free but they charged $10 to use the beach umbrella to go with them. it would've also been helpful to know the tax that was going to be added onto the final charges etc. parking costs $17/day.
