Cons: The good times of the hotel have passed, the 3* hotel should be at a different standard, there were moulds in the first room we had assigned, i do not understand who is assigning the stars to the hotels but this is standard of rather 2*. this made me believe that next time i should not risk and go to below 4*

Pros: The hotel is well positioned for easy walking access to most parts of the city. the reception staff were pleasent and very helpfull.
Cons: The hotel room was in a tired condition with broken bathroom fittings, and the hot water tap in the bath trickled continuously and could not be turned off. the shower certain was mouldy.

Pros: Hotel zara is excellently placed, close to the main train station and all the main sights. the staff were friendly and spoke good english, breakfast was a good continental style breakfast. the air-con worked well and was quiet.
Cons: The shower curtain in room 320 should be replaced, it's really dirty at the bottom of it. i'm not a great lover of shoer curtains anyway. a safe in the room would have been useful.

Cons: Some general maintenance required to fix small issues which give a poor impression. the stair rail to the first floor needs replacing. the gaffer tape a the top of the stair rail seems to be working well but its not what you expect to see. also the shower attachment in our bathroom was loose, another simple maintenance item.
at breakfast how about providing pots of real coffee and tea instead of having to use a machine? the bar area next to the breakfast room certainly has the facilities.
