The staff at Hotel Texas was extremely helpful and nice. The manager, Rudolpho, was very helpful with tourist questions. The hotel was clean but there is no TV or air conditioning; but, it was cool enough outside not to bother us. There is a lot of street noise but after walking around all day, we had no problems sleeping. The "hotel" is located on the 3rd floor of a building. There is an elevator. There was no air conditioning but it was cool enough outside not to bother us. The hotel is centrally located within walking distance of all the major attractions and the Termini station (main train station). Your bill will be paid after your arrival at the hotel. They prefer cash or American Express. The cost of the room was very reasonable for the center of Rome. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Staff were great, very helpful, especially when we asked for a cup of tea as there wasn't a kettle in the room. Beds were comfortable and room clean. Luggage storage wasn't desirable as it was just left in a hallway where anyone could access it.

The hotel was very ok - it was very clean, with good service and very good location - 50 m away from via Nationale - where you can find bus station, and 500 m away from piazza republica, with metro station, and less than 1 km - 10 minutes away on foot, from Termini station.Another PRO - You can use their iPad for free in the lobby, and the service is very positive and helpfull.The only thing witch was not fine - that they don't inform you in an EXPRESS way (like - after booking - BE AWARE you need a CREDIT card - we don't except DEBIT card's and only American Express and Visa).The problem is that they don't have a POS machine, but a mechanical CARD-copier (it's very safe, don't be afraid) that "copies" your credit card number, and after that you sign it, and they go with it to the local bank.It was a little akward for me, since i didn't have that kind of problem with my Visa Electron Card nowhere, and, mostly of this - i didn't see this kind of credit card "copier" in my life.My intention with this note is that to inform you - not to say you not to book at this hotel.Every other aspect is from "very ok" to "perfect".Bye.Robert and Andreea ("in fact, Dracula was from Austria")

My friend and I needed a cheap, clean, safe and central place to stay in Rome and we certainly found it! It's basic but the manager was laid back and very helpful- full of tips for visiting Rome. Very easy to get to all the main sites by foot and it was safe to walk back to at night and to leave valuables in. We're glad we got a room with our own shower / sink and we shared a toilet with other rooms on our floor but this was perfect for a budget mini break and I without hesitation recommend it. Hotel very central but very noisy internally Breakfast each morning was a farce . Place clean but bedding needs replaced especially blankets . only plus about this Hotel is the location to most tourist spots.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. The location is absolutely brilliant. Everything is clean and the staff is friendly and eager to help. We stayed in room 22, which is small and the bathroom is tiny, nevertheless very nice and enough. In fact you only stay in the hotel to sleep and eat breakfast so a big room isn't necessary. Breakfasts, even though consisting of bread, marmelade, butter, coffee/tea and juice, was very nice and not expensive. It was a good start of the day before leaving for sight-seeing. Definately would come back there!

Cons: The picture of the room on the web was better than the room itself, and it seems to there are 2 hallways, one with nicer rooms than the other. we changed to a better room but had to pay 10 euro more, which was rather a lot for a room with a shared bathroom.

Pros: The location is good- 10-20 minutes from all the cites.

Pros: It was great! the highlight of my vacation. it's in a great location and the staff was really nice! the places around it were cheap its and less then a 3 minute walk out was a vibrant avenue and metro station. walking distance to pretty much everything like trevi fountain and even the colosseum. the room was nice and quaint and even though it wasn't fancy or anything it was great. the staff was super informative especially the guy at night who was also really funny and let us ask him tons of questions. i highly recommend this hotel
