Staff were helpful from the word go. No rooms left at the back but Emilia said to go on second floor and if sound was a problem to keep doors shut and air con open at night. Being in the middle of it all and with taverna and bars around, there was bound to be noise but it was not from the hostel. It is central to everything you want to do. We experienced helpfulness and genuine smiles, having come from Chile this was welcome! I was somewhat concerned with what a few individuals had experienced, but in our case we had a great time and were looked after! The only problem they had was the internet playing up, but they got someone on the case to fix it as quick as they could. Friendly staff, clean rooms, good and busy location. What else could you ask for a weekend trip of fun!

Pros: The hotel is situated close to puerta del sol in a nice area with lots of restaurants and bars. it is also close to the metro station sol and you can easily walk to plaza mayor, palacio real etc. at night there are a lot of people in the streets but when you close the window and put on the airco you can sleep very well. the breakfast at the hotel is good and the staff of the hotel is very friendly.

Victoria 4 hotel is located next to Puerta del Sol, the heart of Madrid, where you can enjoy a selected shopping area and the Paseo del Arte (Art Walk), named because of its museums, palaces, gardens and fountains. Some of the most important monuments and buildings are located next to the hotel such as Casa de Correos, the Main Square and the Royal Palace.
