The view of the Singel canal was very special. The breakfast was absolutely excellent. We really loved our stay at this hotel. Would recommend this hotel to anyone. Location was excellent. Staff was very friendly. Room was just the right size.

good location, very very smal rooms you can not open the door wide open you can open it until it tach the bed, terrible service, unkind people works at the reception, did not answer e-mails that we sent to the hotel before arriving.

Personal not friendly, service bad, rooms very small. I would not recommend that hotel really to expensive. Go in this hotel only if you really find a good offer. The only good thing is the location....

Cleanliness of the hotel was not the best, but could certainly improve in certain areas, service was poor, hotel staff were also very rude. The location was not an isue as the hotel is located more or less in the centre of amsterdam, thus everything was fairly easy to access. Furtunately the rooms were cheap, so in terms of value it would be unfair to to complain however for a 3 star hotel the standard of the rooms were poor, however on a brighter note the beds were comfortable.

This is the second time I have stayed at Singel Hotel in Amsterdam, accomodation is very central and easy to reach from the Airport, easy to locate and staff are friendly and good value for money, would definately go back.

Myself and a friend stayed for one night while we were in amsterdam, lovely rooms, lovely service and breakfast in the morning was great. They allowed us to store our bags during the day before our room was ready and were very helpful with directions. Very central hotel, would recommend to anyone!

Stayed there for two nights only, hotel is based in a nice location, close to all the bars and the station. The quality of rooms was ok, though we did get the smallest room. Since we hardly spent any time in the room, we didn't complain, however. Breakfast was provided, and was quite nice, with fresh pastries and coffee. Overall, I would recommend it, god value for money,

We stayed here for 3 nights. We were able to get a smoking room on the 4th floor, which was actually out on its own on the roof. We really enjoyed our stay. The room was adequate, not fancy but very clean and had everything we needed.Breakfast was continental and very good, I just had tea and toast so can't really comment much about it!Reception staff were very friendly and helpful.I don't think you could ask for a better location than this. 5 minute walk from Central Station, I would stay here again :)

Stayed at this hotel recently with a friend for a trip to Amsterdam. The hotel is excellent and I couldn't fault it at all. The breakfast was perfect and great to be included. The location is just right and handy to pop back and drop shopping off or even go for a wee nap. All the staff are helpful and friendly. I will definitely use and recommend this hotel again. Very pleased.

The hotel is in a fabulous location; staff very helpful and happy. Our room was very nice overlooking the canal, with lovely large windows just a little basic but very clean. Plenty to see and do in Amsterdam we run out of time so definitely returning soon and we will definitely return to the Singel Hotel.

The hotel is in a great location but the room we had was very small and once I opened the nets over the window I could see into someones bed room!! I found this very poor .This is the reason I have given a low mark for value for money. The room we had was in my opinion only worth 80 euro a night. I would stay again but I would request a canal view next time.

We had a room at the front of the hotel with large french door type windows giving a great view over the canal. The room was an adequate size. The furnishings were cheap and marked, and storage inadequate. They could nt make the twin beds into a double. Breakfast was indiferent.

The hotel was well situated for easy access to all parts of city,via tram,bus,canal.The staff were charming,room small but clean.However breakfast was cramped for space and not very interesting,more selection of local produce would have been better.

We stayed in the hotel for 3 nights. Beware they are renovating hotel (not mentioned anywhere!!)and building works start quite early (8am). Make sure you are out of the bed for breakfast by then. Breakfast is nothing special: some cereals and bread, but not American style as mentioned on the website. Our last night of stay some youngsters stayed on our floor and it was a disturbing and unpleasant experience: they were banging on the doors trying to get in. Please note: if something like this happen you must go down and report this matter to the reception right away! Of course if you know basic martial art techniques would be a preference, because you never know what beheaded, drunk and stoned people can do. p.s. I bet the cameras on the floors just dummies.

If you stay here make sure you are not on the 1st floor and make sure above all else you don't get room 8!!! The man at the desk was reluctant to call a taxi for us he kept saying from my experience the taxi won't come etc. when I forced him he called and it came, very lazy guy(eating in his left ear) FIRE HIM!!!

We had a old room who was very very smal. The shower was on one ground with the toliette.Our cousin had a renovated room who was all nice with a new bathroom. Depens what luck you have. Our room was not worth the money.
