Cons: We thought the mattresses were uncommonly hard. very uncomfortable! also pillows were uncomfortable. when we called to ask for different pillows, they just brought two more of the same.

Pros: The staff were fantastic, especially those in the restuarant. i have to say the food was fantastic value for money and the resturant staff were top class! they were professional and made us feel pampered. the quality of the food was fantastic we were shocked how affordable it was. compliments to chef and the resturant staff. location was perfect did not get any cabs.
Cons: Far too noisy, you cannot get a lie in. you can hear the cleaners at 9am so that was annoying. also they do not provide an iron - you have to pay for the service of ironing which is nonsense.

The Catalonia Berna**** is situated at a few metres from Paseo de Gracia, very near the city centre.

This hotel is located in the city's historic centre, next to Plaza Cataluña. Situated in one of the first buildings in the enlargement ("Eixample") of the city of Barcelona.

Inaugurated in 2003, the hotel is housed in one of the first classical style buildings of the Eixample area built in 1864 by the architect Josep Cerdà. It's the only building that conserved and completely restored its front original paintings and ornaments. Its location and features will let you enjoy the busiest area of the city. At the same time, you can enjoy deserved moments of peace and quiet and relaxation.

There are 124 modernly decorated rooms distributed over 6 floors, Some of the rooms have a private terrace. They all offer amenities such as free Wi-Fi internet access, satellite TV and a private bathroom. Other hotel facilities include a a lounge area, a bar, a restaurant (international cuisine) and 6 meeting rooms.
