Cons: The only negetive that i can mention is about their shuttle service. their airport shuttle will stop at 7:30 pm, many travellers arrive late in the evening. the hotel should have two vans working 24/7 - one serving the downtown and one serving the airport.
poor staff and most importantly very long gaps - 2 hours between shuttle services to airport of which for an airport hotel is very poor.
Cons: Room was not as requested even though the hotel was not full.
only 1 guest card offerd for 2 people.
room was dirty and had a strange smell. bedding was ripped and sheets had stains on them. the worst selection of guest toilitries i have ever experienced. the staff on the desk admitted the policy was changing to downgrade this and agreed it was below the standard that should be offered by a 5 star hotel. worst of all was the shuttle bus service to the airport which was only every 2 hours. for an airport hotel so close to a major world city airport this was poor and was the resaon that we stayed here. due to our flight times we then took a taxi back to the airport. no duty manager was available when asked to bring various matters for his attention. all round a very poor hotel with very below average service
Cons: The fact that you had to pay for most of the facilites, particuarly surprised at having to pay for the use of the swimming pool in a 5* hotel! the location wasn't great.
Cons: The elevators! the most complicated and inefficient system i've ever used. they go direct to your floor and so most of the time they are only carrying one or two people. i ended up waiting 5 or 6 mins at breakfast time.
Cons: Internet access is incredibly expensive and the shuttle service mentioned on the site only operates at limited times of day ie no shuttle from about 9am through to 18h!!
Cons: Slighty pricey, quite a distance from las ramblas etc however there is a metro stop across the road and this provides excellent affordable access to anywher in barcelona, open 24hrs on weekends! otherwise no real negatives apart from pricey food/drinks but thats what you get anywher in barcelona.
