 "Our stay"
I'm afraid the hotel did not match expectations. The room was of poor quality and very expensive. The hairdryer used by my girlfriend was broken and she cut her finger on it quite badly. The hotel had no first aid equipment whatsoever. The receptionist was not particularly helpful when I required a euronote to be changed. We would never stay there again and would not recommend it.

 "Hotel dei Dragomanni - nice touch!"
The hotel is about an 8 minute walk to San Marco's Square - certainly not on the steps of it (as advertised). Walking aside (which is much needed after the amount of pizza and pasta you can find yourself eating) the hotel was pleasant and clean, staff very accommodating and helpful , and rooms well equipped .We were in venice on our mini-moon and to walk in to our room and find a bottle of prosecco and fruit was a very nice touch.Something quite classy about this establishment too!

Pros: Beautifully decorated, lovely staff, excellent location. definitely will return.
Cons: Only fault is the ventilation links in the rooms. you can hear anything above the level of normal conversation coming from other peoples rooms. this includes being woken up at 8am by a rather "happy" couple....
