 "Nice neat hotel"
Pros: Nice neat hotel. seemed well maintained.
Cons: I always like a fitness center, though these seem rare in any paris hotel. asked desk clerk to call us a taxi that would take a credit card for the trip to the airport and reiterated that very clearly. taxi came and did not take credit card. she then said the one that does, would not have any cars for several hours. quite frustrating.

Pros: Large sized rooms for paris, very nicely appointed, staff lovely, great location for a wide range of good restaurants, some good shopping and easy access to transport. highlights easy to access - approx 15 min walk to seine (musee d'orsay as example, and quick stroll over seine to lourve)
Cons: Noisy plumbing in bathroom, eg. could hear shower / toilet flush from another apartment (insultation around pipes may help). could also hear trains rumbling in subway beneath building (to be expected as only a few blocks away from montparnasse station - major paris station).

Cons: No iron in the rooms, they offer an outside service but that's not much use if you have left your ironing
too late as we did !!

 "This small, intimate hotel is near to 4 metro stations making it very well..."
Pros: This small, intimate hotel is near to 4 metro stations making it very well connected to all the main sights in paris. the blvd montparnasse is the next street over and offers a broad choice of restaurants and cafes, cinemas and a large shopping mall. the hotel was immaculately clean, well decorated, and had a lovely shower room. our room was a standard double, quiet (although facing the street), tastefully decorated and plenty warm enough given it was below zero (we went in february). the staff were very friendly and helpful and spoke several languages.
Cons: The hotel was having building works done, so banging began on weekdays spot on 9.00am. the hotel was offering evening drinks and nibbles by the front desk as compensation. view this as your alarm clock that paris awaits!
