A Firenze da Paolo Florence  

My fiance and I have been very pleased with this choice. We had a nice large room, modern clean bathroom to share (barely seen any neighbours).10-15 min by bus N 22 from the center of Florence. Once we`ve figured out our way, the location was OK with us (not a problem to commute). Plus there was a huge supermarket inside the mall just across the street (COOP) from the bus stop, where we could sometimes shop cheaply away from the tourist area (only if you get back by 8 pm or so). We could use the microwave and the kitchen.There is a 24 hour laudry place (self-service) just near the bus stop, if needed. Paolo himself was nice to provide us with a map and explain our way around. Our price was excellent. Would definitely stay there again! We had to move into the Florence center for two more days, as this B&B was not available longer, where we enjoyed the central location was nice, but the place was far more expensive and not as comfortable. The bus was only 1.20 Euros per trip, or 12 Euros for a 9-day pass.

Pros: The host was great, very helpful. his english was okay. the room was clean and very big. the location is good, only a short bus (22 or 57) from the train station. there is a big supermarket just down the road.
Cons: The private bathroom isn't ensuit. not a really problem and the bathroom is very nice.

Pros: Very friendly staff. full kitchen. parking on site. if you learn the first day to take bus to city center, its actually easy to get there. bus is just one block away # 22.
Cons: Its not a hotel, rather a family apartment. located in a resident complex. not easy to find

Pros: Paolo was a great host. he gave us a map of the city and showed us where the major attractions are. the room was spacious and very clean, as was the bathroom. breakfast was stocked each night for the next morning and was great.

Pros: Very friendly host, clean and modern flat.
Cons: It was a little bit tricky to find.

Pros: The people running the small establishment were very friendly and helpful, it is conveniently located near bus lines that take you straight into the heart of the city, there's a grocery store and services very nearby. the rooms are spacious and clean, the kitchen is well-equipped, and the whole place looks recently re-done.
Cons: We were surprised that no staff member is there during regular business hours. fortunately we had a cell phone with us so we could call, but when we arrived (in the early evening), nobody was there. make sure you have a cell phone or give them a ballpark figure of your arrival time!

Pros: The service was very personal and rules are not very rigid like in usual hotels.
Cons: The owner does not speak english.

Pros: An excellent hotel for its price. very friendly staff. clean rooms. not far from the center, only 10 minutes on bus. very satisfied by this hotel.
