"Toilets too small!!!!!"

The beds and the room cleaness are okay but the fact that they dont give you new towers and the toilet in the 4th floor is ridiculously small I couldnt even seat in. The reception is nice and the fact they keep your luggage is a plus!

"Quentin Arrive Hotel"

The hotel was value for money, it was clean, staff were helpful and in walking distance to the square. The rooms were basic but clean and beds were comfy. The hotel stairs are extremely steep so probably wouldn't be suitable for anyone who has mobility difficulty. Overall the experience was a pleasant one and I would stay there again. The hotel served it's purpose in being a place to return and sleep after experiencing Amsterdam life!

"My new years eve trip"

I was very pleased on my first encounter of the Quentin Arrive as it has rhe appearence of a higher class of Hotel and the reception staff were both friendly and helpful. But i wasn't at all happy with the price which was a lot higher than the original room rate i found on easytobook. It cost me over €80 per night for a 1 star tiny single room. I paid only €10 a night more to stay at a 4 star. But the location was great and i did like to be able to open my windows and people watch from above. The boys in the room next door did wakw me up about 4 am and the walls are thin but if this room were €60 a night i'd have no complaints. I like the Quentin Arrive and felt quite at home there. The TV worked fine too and its great having a sink in the rooms.

"Rude reception"

We booked 3 rooms, total of 10 ppl. we all came from different places just to meet up for couple of day. The lounge area of the hotel was really nice however, the receptionist was acting very rude by putting the TV loud and making disturbing noises for us to move. Obviously we didn’t move as we wanted to be together.Anyways she was so rude with the guest of the hotel that doesn’t reflect her job.

"review on the arrive hotel"

More like a hostel than a hotel, do not be mislead by the nice pictures they have on the internet!!!! Paid £130 for a double room with shared facilities. the room was a box, one of us had to stay in the bed for the other to move about and change. Taps in the bedrooms were so noisy you would hear the water running through the pipes!! TV was fuzzy and the remote didnt work. On arival we waiting in recepetion for at least 15 mins before anyone came to check us in. No help offered with bags. Would not stay here again.!!!!

"Basic hotel in good location but....."

Basic hotel about 20 minute walk from Central station. The rooms were clean but the toilet had a foul smell. There's no lift so beware of the narrow stairs if you have heavy luggage. The hotel has many shops and restaurants nearby.

"Great for the price!"

Cannot complain about this hotel in anyway really. For the price you pay you're getting a bargain! Clean towels every day, good service and fantastic location. This was my second stay at this hotel and I will continue to return.

"xtra charge"

The Hotel was in a good location, walking distance from the train station and was easy to find. Rooms were ample and easily slept 4, wardrobe very shoddy with the door falling off when opened!!, shared showers and loo were not to bad. Downside - upon arrival the receptionist charged xtra per person and said the booking was wrong, when contested she said she would provide a receipt with the costs etc, when we got the reciept I checked it when I got back to the UK and realised she had given a receipt for less than what she charged us!!!!! - other reviews suggest this is not the first time !!

"Amsterdam in October"

Amsterdam in October - well it's good, the hotel staff are friendly and helpful, the English lady Cleaner (was on 3rd floor in October) is a gem - so helpful and friendly . The hotel is great if you are on a budget, near to Central Station and Coffeeshops - plus you can smoke in this hotel - yes!!! - it may not be a hotel for you if you like the finer things in life!

"Amsterdam 3days and 2nights with the friends!!!!!"

hi, stayed at hotel 2 nights, rooms, bed sheets and towels clean! good location not far from red light district, 2 good coffee shops opposite hotel. local supermarket 3-4min walk down the road, which is great (when got munchies!!!)- points. our room(318) had private bathroom which was good but it had a horrible sewage smell coming out of bathroom, we had to keep room window open all night. not so good when trying to sleep, nosey outside. staff not so friendly, but overall ok i guess. next time i'l b trying another hotel!!!

"Simple and Small but great for a city trip"

The staff was very friendly and helpful, the location was great, near to the main sation and a great start to explore the city. the rooms are small but have all you need.

"Amsterdam 2012"

Central location, friendly staff, free internet access and city maps. The room was spacious and clean equipped with sink as were shared showers and toilets. The only downfall was that there was no lift and we were on the 4th floor which was also very hot! However, great value for money and would recommend to people on short breaks.

"Not bad"

Pretty basic room which had nothing in there like a fridge ect to store the beers in lol but it had beds and a tv which was all you need and was during august peak time so the price was fairly good. Only thing i would suggest is to upgrade and have an ensuite as was a pain trying to use the shower which was shared with like 2 floors. Overall a good cheap place to stay to save money for the holiday.

"Surprisingly Impressed"

I booked this hostel not expecting very much, it was cheap located a short walk from central station and from the description appeared very standard. Despite not being sure I booked anyway as the price was so reasonable and we were on a very tight budget. On arriving I was immediately impressed by the beautiful reception area furnished with antiques. The staff were more than friendly and helpful. The room we were directed to was a triple and a reasonable size with a very nice bathroom. I was worried that it would be loud at night as the room was a basement room with a window that opened onto the main street however when closed there was no excess noise coming from the street. The location of the hostel was brilliant only a short walk from all the main attractions of the city and very easy to find. Another highlight for any smokers travelling was that the Dampkring coffeeshop a rather famous one is located directly opposite the hostel. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend to other travellers :)

"Affordable accomodations"

Room was very basic, but good enough if you spent most of the time exploring Amsterdam. Very good location. Cheap compering with other hotels in that area.

"Fine, but don't expect anything special."

great location, less that 5 minutes from the train station, 10 minutes from the red light district. Friendly staff, however the room we stayed in was very disappointing, the room looked different from the pictures provided on the website. it was very small, no wardrobe [ a small shelving unit ] and the towel provided was dirty! It was not a major issue as its easy enough to get a new one, and if you go to Amsterdam you don't exactly plan to spend your whole holiday in a room... The price was good so you can't expect much more and will recommend and may use again!

Great for the price!
