"City Hotel Customer Feedback"

Perfectly fine hotel that is a block from Aldgate East Tube station. Quiet, clean, comfortable, large tv channel selection. Walk to restaurants that are good and not expensive. Market nearby. Fast food if desired. Bus service nearly at the door. They can do better on price, and should.

We had a wonderful stay at City Hotel! Loved the vibrant neighborhood and the location close to the Petticoat Lane and the Spitalfield markets.

Cons: A twin room i booked was basically a double. the 2 single beds were pushed together and were unmovable

"The only positive thing was the location"

Pros: The only positive thing was the location. it was 10-minte walk from my office. but still i didn't like the area and would not come back.

Pros: Neighbourhood looks kind of shady at first, but it really isn't. lovely area where you'll meet the true people of london. great pubs (white hart!) nearby, supermarkets, fast food, all walking distance.
Cons: The lounge was a bit of a let down, not many people there.

You can get to Brick Lane or Petticoat Lane on foot quite easily from here. Additionally you can walk to Tower of London. In the area you will find Design Museum at a distance of 1.5 km (0.9 miles) from here. A visit to Monument of London will be a touching experience.
