I arrived very late at night (almost midnight) after flying from Aberdeen, Scotland, the flightsto and from London were delayed. The desk staff were superb and helpful re city information and your breakfasts were excellent.With Many Thanks from a 76 year old.

The room was small, a bit dirty and there was a faint urine smell in the bathroom. The three single beds were all touching each other to form one big bed with separate duvets. I would recommend this room for a group of mates who are looking for a cheap room and an ok breakfast. Other resident were obviously smoking doobie in their room, so another reason it might work for young mates who don't mind sleeping close to each other. It was 80 euros for 1 night for 3, with breakfast. You get what you pay for.

Rooms were tiny. Bedside cupboard broke to bits and just left. Asian guy on reception was miserable. No variety of breakfast food. Considering the location of the hotel the quality of it was more like a two star.

We always try to stay at City Garden whenever we visit our family who live in Amsterdam.The staff are all friendly and helpful, the rooms clean and spacious enough. The continental breakfast is tasty and you can eat as much as you want! The location is ideal too - next to Vondel park, which is good to stroll through after breakfast on the way to catch a tram into the centre which is also easily walkable. The only time we don't stay at City garden is when it is full!!

we had to be moved on the first night as there was a rat running across the bedroom floor, when the hotel staff came to move us there was another rat dead next to the curtain, the room they moved us to wasnt ready, we went for breakfast and was out of the room for an hour, when i returned my money wallet was in my room but the 200 euros had gone out of it, the receptionist had no intrest at all

Service was ok, 24 hours reception, helpful team.Good location close to trams, and close to Vondelpark.Don't expect to much about the rooms, really small and confuse decoration.For a quickly stay with short budget is ok.

Stayed in the single room which was incredibly small, the breakfast was of but nothing special and overall it was too expensive for the quality I received it should be 2 star or 2 and a half.

Cons: My arms, shoulders, back and feet are covered in bed bug bites!!! late at night we saw the bugs on one of the 4 beds in our quad room, so we didn't use that bed; rather, i slept in a very narrow bed with one of my daughters. rather early in the morning, we left, and soon after, the welts started to appear. the bites are horribly itchy and even painful; i am so uncomfortable, unable to focus on work and family--this incident has undone a great deal of the "resetting" i had achieved while on holiday.
