 "Dont upgrade"
On the whole I thought this was a beautifully decorated and well serviced hotel, the staff where friendly enough and the ambience from the reception all the way to your bed makes you feel comfortable. My only issue was I decided to upgrade to the executive double, which provides a few more amenities and offers a city view, it was the latter I was interested in and so was a little disappointed when our window looked onto the wall of a department store a few yards across an alleyway. However, everything other than this was up to the standard you should expect and although you probably can get a cheaper hotel with a similar location and services in Edinburgh, The Hudson is worth more than a second look.
